C'mon Viv! She looks ready to pop, she is huge. I am amazed she has held out this long .

Well tonight I noticed a little bit more bagging up and change in shape of her teats and a very visible milk vein which I hadn't noticed before. I hope that means we are starting to get close. I actually bought a new TV this last weekend, so I can now watch her from the comfort of my bed when I need to start doing the hourly checks.

I am so excited - I can't wait to see her baby! She is so pretty, I'm sure the baby will be stunning! Is she showing signs of discomfort yet?

Peri, nope...nothing yet really. She's not great in a stall, I doubt she's been stalled before so she tends to be a bit restless if she is in there too long and stirs everything up, but I think this is just normal for her as she has done it since she came here.

I'll try to get some pictures this week - but other than the fact that she is enormous there really hasn't been anything going on - STILL! She's really gotten fat in addition to being hugely pregnant and I switched her over to LMF Super Supplement so I dont' have to give her very much grain in order for her to get all the vitamins she needs. She's just a huge cow right now.

I took a few new shots of Viv today. It is VERY frustrating because my camera (which I bought new for $350 last summer): a) won't open the shutter (have to do it with your fingers b) turns itself off after each picture c) will not take any pictures where it thinks it needs a flash and d) tells you to change the batteries after just a few pictures (with lithium batteries). Because of the flash issue, udder shots were almost impossible. I did get a couple though. First, a pretty head-on shot: From the rear, Honeycutt in the background (Viv is especially disgusted with me for taking this photo): From the side: Another side view: Udder shot (you can see a difference from the last photo I took, so she *is* making progress): And a good shot of her udder from a different view (yes, she still rolls, almost every day, although watching her try to get back up is almost painful):

FINALLY we have some action happening!!! Last night I noticed a definate change in shape of her teats, they looked much fuller, and I debated putting down straw but she just didn't look quite close enough to bother. I did watch her on the camera until about 1:30 when I went to bed. This morning, her udder is VERY full and significantly changed. I think we are FINALLY getting close and will probably be laying down straw tonight.
Which means I may be a question mark for Sunday's event in Arlington. The good news is I am working from home tomorrow and its the weekend and 4th of July so the timing couldn't be better (unless she goes during the day today while I'm at work...).
