I actually received multiple applications for Vivian on the same day...I am checking all of them. I have been without a voice for the last 2 days ( I *hate* being sick) but am about halfway through references.

Hope she finds a home soon. She needs to get to a cozy environment she can nest in, and also get a 4-way and appropriate worming...much important before foal arrival. Hope she gets settled in quickly.
Did the vet make an assesment of probable cover date?

Hi everyone. Viv hasn't disappeared, she's still in Elma at the moment and showing no signs of bagging up yet.
Viv got all her shots in February, including Rhino, which will get repeated this month, and then again if she happens to go another 2 months. She's also been wormed twice so far with two different wormers to try and clean her out. We will be sure and repeat just before foaling to make sure she is all cleaned out.
We do not know when she was covered, only that she could go anytime between now and June. Given that she has not started bagging up yet, I think we have at least a few weeks still.
We are discussing putting this mare on hold for adoption until after she foals. The plan is to bring her to my house to foal her out, where I have a large stall equipped with a camera so I can watch her from my house during the night.

Update - Viv made the trip to my place this weekend. She is HUGE!!! I hope there is only one baby in there...she is really, really big. We are talking Enormous! Not really bagging up much, but she is very soft in her hind end and has almost no tail-clamp ability. I bought the straw, kicked my other horse out to give her a stall, have the camera up and running and am keeping a close eye on our girl for whenever she's ready to show us this baby.
I wormed her today again and will have the vet out this week for shots. I spent some time with her today and did some ground work and worked on picking up her feet. She was actually very very good...no problems at all other than being a little sticky with letting me pick up and hold her left hind leg which we worked through. I have been told she doesn't like her udder touched so we'll work towards that. I spent a half hour and actually managed to get all the mats out of her tail! It was pretty much one solid mat, and I went into her stall with scissors intending to just hack them out...but I instead took a bottle of show sheen and a brush to it and worked it out slowly, and actually didn't pull out that much hair. Her tail is now a little bushy stub but its cute, and I'm sure she likes it better!
She looks great, her weight (other than being enormous) is very good, no ribs. She's shedding out to her summer color which is liver chestnut, and has a lot of energy! She was trotting and cantering around her paddock today. I have her in a separate paddock from the rest of my horses with her own shelter, I think she's a little lonely but she's settling in well and seems very relaxed in her stall and outside.
Pictures coming soon!

Here are a few quick shots of our girl from this morning while she was eating her mare/foal feed: Baby was hanging pretty centered this morning, but when the baby hangs to one side or the other its pretty obvious! Also note her newly brushed out bushy little tail!

Wow, if that belly gets much bigger, it'll be touching the ground!

She's going to need to do some sit-ups to tighten those tummy muscles after the baby is born!

Vivian saw the vet tonight and got all her shots (again) just to make sure she is covered since it was 2 months since she received them last. The vet is mildly concerned about her size, and thought in addition to a concern about twins she might have a condition where the tendon that runs down the midline of her belly could be breaking down, but at this point she has some tension in that tendon so we'll just monitor her (serious cases of this problem appear much worse than her and would require a c-section to alleviate the pressure).
Anyway, no need to panic yet, she could just be a big girl and/or had a lot of prior pregnancies which explains her large abdomen.
