For those of you on Vivian watch - Slam (one of Jaime's horses) and I watched Vivian for about 10-15 minutes late this afternoon. She had her left side to us - (nose to my left - rear to my right) and I can tell you that her foal kicked the bejeepers out of her for around 10 minutes. She had what appeared to be some type of contraction (that got her ears back). She did 2 lift high and stretch hind leg moves and 1 big neck and back stretch after all of that excitement. I was fascinated - Slam fell asleep on my elbow. Then she went back to grazing.....soon soon soon!

Ugh, poor Viv. I know she's going to have it this weekend, naturally, since I'll be away for the weekend.

Well straw went down last night and I checked on her several times. She was restless around 1am but settled down after that. Today her bag is very full but no leakage or waxing yet. Dr. Evergreen has been alerted.

Any new today? Is there a wonderful new baby to look at yet?

We are holding steady - her bag is very full and she is clearly tired of all this. Poor girl. But nothing yet. Still no dripping/waxing. She is such a sweet mare - if someone wants a serious case of sweet mare - this is the one for you... (and that is coming from a confirmed gelding person!)

Is Viv still pregnant??? Maybe she'll deliver tomorrow and you can give the foal a patriotic name. Victory, Liberty, Patriot, freedom, fire-cracker, Glory,
Good luck to Vivian for a quick and easy delivery!

Hey Jaime - non-Viv question looking at the photos reminded me to ask you. What type of fence posts do you have - I really like the look of them and they look quite easy to use!

hottmom - still pregnant. No longer thinking she is going soon. Or ever. *sigh*
Peri - they are just T-posts with PVC pipes over it A straight section with a T shaped section at the top for the top strand of tape to go through. They were here when I moved in, but I kind of like them - very safe!

Hey Jaime - I have an idea to help Ms. Viv!
This is a take off of a defensive football cheer:
"Push it out, Push it out, waaaay out!"
So if you get on a short skirt and jump around her waving your pom poms everynight chanting the cheer - maybe something will start happening! ;D

I am afraid "something" may happen if Jamie starts dancing in a short skirt and waving pom poms at night.......but it may not be helping Viv!! She may start attracting neighbors or passerby's...... Hee Hee

Yeah umm...I don't think so.....you are more than welcome to come over and give a little cheer for Viv. Somehow I would bet money you even have an old cheerleading uniform in your closet somewhere...
