Yeah! I will get to see Aiden when I go trail riding! Aiden is such a neat horse. He is going to make someone a wonderful horse.

I'm Aiden's current foster mom, and he is doing quite well. I've been working with him a 2-3 days a week, and what a quick study he is! He now tolerates plastic bags whipping around him, accepts a bridle path clip with my cordless clippers, yields hind and forequarters nicely, and just today learned to trot on the lead in about 5 minutes (and I did it by myself). He may be initially more fearful than Whisper and Benny were, but he is improving rapidly and his ease to train certainly makes up for it. He can be a real cuddlebug too. :-)

I don't want to take anything away from the time you are spending on Aiden but while he was here we worked on all his leadline "manners". It's really good that he remembers them and that you are asking him to do them. I didn't do the clippers! That is wonderful!
Keep up the great work. Aiden is such a nice little horse. He doesn't have the confidence that Lola has. She took care of that for both of them. It's good he has to do it for himself.
Thank you for taking such good care of him.

I was thinking about Aiden the other day, I bet he has grown into a mature young man. Would love to see pictures!

I rode in that area the other day and got a peek at our boy. He has grown a lot! It was funny, when my mare saw him she stopped and looked as if to say "I know you!"
He is going to make a really nice horse for someone.

Amy he looks great! I love the new photos and the video was awesome! He's much more laid back than Lola, he'd obviously rather be standing next to you than trotting around, but he seems happy to oblige as well. I loved the end where he goes over the bridge and paws at it like he's checking to make sure its solid. So cute! Thanks for doing such a great job with him!

He is so handsome. His personality is much quieter than Lola, but I think her half-Arab background brings out her sassiness. Aiden reminds me more of Benny in how quiet he is.

It's been too long since we posted an Aiden update. We moved Aiden to a foster home in Carnation this summer and he has been romping in 10 acres of pasture with his buddy, a 33 year old gelding named Hawk. I hadn't seen Aiden in some time but last night I stopped by to bring some new blankets for him - he has grown from a size 60 to a size 70 since last winter! He looks fabulous...looks like around 14-14.2h now and quite stout with a lovely head and neck. Gone is the timid, cautious baby I remember, Aiden is now very outgoing and affectionate and wants to be right where you are. He comes running when you call him and absolutely loves people. He's quite spunky and energetic and when he can't coerce his aged buddy into play, will just settle for running circles around him. I did get a few photos, but Facebook is down at the moment so I will post them as soon as our page is up. He's doing fabulous though!

I got to see Aiden on saturday at the NWESC open house. He is so handsome!
I really hope someone takes this boy soon. He will be a super star!
