Aiden's surgery was put off once more. Seems he has been choosen to be a star. Dr Hanna is setting up a Vet student party and Aiden is the "guest of honor". They will take picutres and publish an artilce. By that time he will be all shed out and very handsome. This will give SAFE some great press too, not to mention the almost free part!

Ugh, I remember when the matts were coming off Dory. He is already looking better. Thanks for sharing photos!

And one more, showing his very light smattering of spots. He also has some spots where his coat is marred because of the rain rot he had...Wishes has the same thing. We also saw this with Phoenix and Dory, etc. when their coats came in last summer and it eventually went away so I am sure theirs will as well.

Aiden got gelded today and everything went perfectly. He went down easily, got up easily, a very smooth castration. I have pictures to post tomorrow.

Getting sleepy: Going down: All done, waiting for him to wake up: Waking up: Getting up: Aiden says, "What the heck just happened???"

He is such a nicely put together little guy. I just love his sporadic spots! How is he healing up? No complications I hope.

Aiden's healing up very nicely, the swelling is gone, no more forced exercise. After the first few days he started to STINK really bad, and I had to get in there and clean everything out several times, during which I pulled out a huge chunk of rotting nasty yuck...not only did he stand and let me clean it, but he even let me stick my finger up in his incisions and clean all the gunk out. The most he ever did was hold a leg up in the air like "ouch, that hurts"...but never once even thought about kicking or dancing away from me. He just has the BEST temperment, I love this little guy! He's all better now (no more stink!) and did not even end up needing to be put on antibiotics, cleaning it out a few times did the trick.
Ready to go into the "Available for Adoption" section!

Aiden is definitely the more laid-back of the two. Lola bosses him around a lot and will get him running, otherwise, he is pretty content and mellow. Here are a coupple of pictures I took of these two earlier this summer at Jaime's farm. It's hard to catch the big airs on my little cell but lola was hearding aiden all over the place! (on the moooove again!)
