Good news everyone...Rusty has been adopted by Shannon Mulhall of Camano Island. He is going to be used by Shannon and her daughter as a trail horse. His new home is VERY nice and Shannon is a wonderful horsewoman. When Rusty met her and her daughter, they clicked immediately and we are confident that both the Mulhall's and Rusty and going to very, very happy together. Congrats to all!!!! ;D ;D

Oh, he will love that and they'll get so much enjoyment out of him. He is the kind of trail horse everybody wants - he's just so darn quiet that you can ENJOY the ride and the scenery and not worry about what he is going to do. I hope Shannon will post here, I'd love to see updates and pics.

I am so thrilled to be chosen to adopt Rusty. I couldn't stop thinking about him after I first met him. He was so willing and patient. I pestered his head, cinched the girth, picked up his feet, stood directly in front of him, rode him around at a trot for more than I knew his green brain could handle and he was SO good. I believe he's going to be a great first horse (not pony!) for my daughter.
My intentions are: 1. To pick him up on Friday. 2. Research his APHA registration papers 3. Get some more training under his belt. English perhaps? He's so cute and has a lot of knee action (!) 4. Hit the Pilchuck Tree Farm come spring!!!
Thank you, SAFE! I'm honored. And a special thanks to Jaime, Melanie, and Alison for doing the most thorough of background checks. I promise to inundate your email boxes with photos.
Sincerely, Shannon

Welcome, Shannon! I would be excited to hear about his bloodlines if you are able to get his papers. We have some guesses and want to find out if we were right!
