Cadillac is almost 10. He is the sweetest boy I have ever met. If he could sit in your lap he would. All he wants is love and attention. My boyfriend and I rescued him from starvation but cant afford to keep him. He has a lip tattoo that I can give you if you want. His feet are utd and easy they need a trim every 3-4months He has his shots and wormed We havnt tried to ride him yet because he hasnt been healthy enough, but we have ponied little kids on his back and he is fine. He is smart and sweet and all he wants is to please. We cant afford him though, if I could i wouldnt sell him in a million years. He is about 16.2 or 16.3 Not exactly sure. Please if you are interested let me know. He is free I just want a good home for him! Thank you Kristi

I'm too far away to help, Eternityrider. You've taken on a tough job and I admire you and your boyfriend both for sticking with it. Why don't you post his lip tattoo number here? Some people on this board are TB fans, and if they can get a little more info on your horse it may help you place him. Hang in there a little while longer.

So from what I can get of the tattoo it looks like it is "A234" thats all I can really make out and i'm only sure of the 23 my friend got the A and 4 so. as of now that is all I know. Jamie is helping my bf and I out and having a vet come out soon. He really is on his last leg, so to speak and we may not be able to bring him back.... I'm very sad. If I had more money I would spend it all on him to fix him. I love him so much. Has anyone had to go threw something like this. I feel so helpless. I just want him happy and healthy but i dont want to just give up and say "well he cant be fixed so i'll just put him down." I love him.... if you have any advice, please, let me know. I could really use it. And I will try to get pics up but they will be kinda hard for some to look at... he is very very underweight.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but "A" would make him a 1997 model, I believe. That would be a correct letter. Makes him 11 this year.

As eternityrider mentioned, we are trying to help this horse. We went out last weekend to evaluate him as a potential SAFE-Assist, but found a horse in very bad shape. He is extremely emaciated (despite a feeding program that should not cause him to be so thin), and I suspect the problem is related to the fact that he has a severe neurological issue going on - when he walks he staggers on his hind end. When he lies down he has trouble getting to his feet. Dr. Hannah is going out there as soon as we can arrange it to evaluate him. Sadly, I would not be surprised if she determines the best thing for Cadillac at this point is euthanasia. He is indeed a sweet, beautiful horse as described, but the spark in his eye is gone. But of course, if anything can be done for this horse, we will try to help him.

Poor guy. Atleast, he has the best team working for him right now.

Thank you for clarifying the condition of this horse. It was hard to tell from her posting if it was simply lack of food and care or if there was an underlying condition going on. I had just sent her a PM to try to determine what was happening. We look forward to hearing what the vet has to say.
