Wow Laurie, he gained a LOT of weight at your house. This is the first time I have seen that horse be proper weight since he was at the lot. You get a round of applause from me!

The obsessing and fretting will continue... ;D After I put M/M to bed, and opened the gate to let the others be closer at night, I made another change in who gets to be close to who. I mentioned how Buck was being all GIRLIE, what a tease !!! I went back down to the barn and she was still squirting and showing her fat rolls to M/M . Then I noticed How stressed Mort was !!! His "johnnie be good " was very bright red So I put Buck and Lark out in the upper pasture, and closed the fence, and put Ish in the area near the barn, but he can still walk around out by the girls or down to the pond. He came up to me and Mort, as Mort was standing at his stall fencing. Mort did his undertoned deep throat greeting. There wsnt any macho-ness out of either, so I think this will be good for both of them. P>S> I forgot to mention , I just ordered 2 of these : Mort and Ish www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=388325c3-8756-476f-82ac-e34eaa901687and I left the stall lights on tonight for Mort....

It's now 1230 AM, Im not obsessing, really Im not..
Just got back from a barn check due to excessive whinning going on . So now the girls are in their stalls, and Ish is free to roam , as usual. And , Mort has the girls w/n nose only touching distance, and Ish can talk to him from 2 diff places..
See, not worrying, mints on the pillow, and yes, the light is still on, but this "ain't no MOTEL 6 !" ;D ;D

LOL ;D I think it IS the Motel 6, the only troulbe is your guests refuse to be quiet and go to sleep. Poor Morph, you tell Buckwheat to quit being such a tease. He was only gelded about a year ago. If you didn't notice your girls heat cycles before, you probably will now. Those fly masks are really neat. It will keep his pink nose skin from getting sunburned. Thanks for the compliments guys, he was such a nice horse to care for. My husband really liked him too. He is the one who started calling him Mort.

Morph had his feet done yesturday. My ferrier sayd it would take a couple of more trims to get them set right, but they look good. He was a butthead for the ferrier, maybe he didnt like having to be the last one done ;D He has showed no problems or soreness today. It reminded me of "french nails" , since the outside edge ( filed ) is now white, and the rest is dirty brown.. Morph also spent his first night ( dont cringe, laurie ) out of his stall. He spent the night where he spends his day, had no difficulties managing leaving poop piles from one side to the other. This is not going to be a habit, it was just too warm to pen him up in a stall. I shud probably start a thread on Buckwheat, since I talk about her all the time. Anyway, she is now on the OFFICAL NO BULLIES ALLOWED DIET ;D ;D ;D and will be spending her days away from everyone else's food ..Man o man, is she ever a porker !!!!! This leaves me with one empty pasture.... ...I can see the look of panic on Cardi's face when she reads that.... But as I told her, The INN in now offically closed, except for emergency housing... Ha ha Peggy, you know what a worrier I am, don't you? What did the farrier say about his feet? Did he think they were trimmed to upright last time? Maybe he will not be as stiff in the fromt end now.

His feet look good, shortened up the front some...Is standing straight, and even. The underside is pretty ugly, seems like he had no frog, and all of their feet are real dry. He, Mort, got his new "long face" mask w/ ears today . Covers the whole nose , clear down to the tip. So he should be good to go, now. Although, he hasnt moved from the hay area behind Bucks stall, all day. His new Auntie, keeps tossing hay his way every 3-4 hrs, while the others hang their heads over the gate, going " Wait a minute, there, u ol woman, where's ours ?? " Then Buck says, " Ours ?? Huh ! Where's MINE. I'm the one who got "robbed" today, I saw it " " I've got it on my Halter camera phone !!! " Boy, its fun to be on vacation...

That fly mask will be great for him. Will keep his little pink nose from sunburning. Ain't vacations great. Kurt has been off for two weeks and I think he has worked his a$$ off almost the whole time. He really likes to be busy. But I think I will try to drag him to the beach tomorrow. He is busy now redoing Teddies field fence before she comes home. I have been busy reclaiming part of my yard where the blackberries took over. Ugh,,,I hate those darn things. Give Mort a carrot for us.

I was breezing by today and stopped in to see Mort. Peggy was either gone or sleeping like the dead because the dogs announced me pretty loudly, but I didn't see her. So I just went down and said hi to Mort. Who are you? Do you have more food? I know I have plenty but more is always good. Oh, you scratch withers and necks? OK I love you. Oh yeah. Right there. That's it. Oooh that is awesome. Can you come over every day? This is goooood. It gets itchy under all that mane! He is a sweetheart!

ME, sleeping.....Never ;D
I was probably weedeating down by the pond, since the pictures show Mort without his mask...anothr 2-3 hrs of that and I shud be ready to start alllll over again...
Yes, he, Mort , does love to scratched. He will follow me around now, by listening to the sound of my voice. Has gone into the barn and gone all the way to his stall, and then into the stall. ;D He met Lark up-close, and wanted to get personal, yesturday. She thot the full face mask w/ ear covers quite sexy.

You missed the kittens.... ( and see reference to your visit in Larks tome...) Well, I know now that Morph is comfortable here .... I was just out doing the evening meal. Morph is waiting in the cabana room, the first picture Cat put in, and I was fussing around getting the rest of the chow line set up. I was just around the corner from where Morph was eating, when I looked up and here comes Morph. I had the wheel barrow in the aisle loading hay, minor panic, when he stops just inside the door... Pssssssssst, uh, huuummmmmmmmm, yo lady !!!!! You forgot my entree. I got the side salad, but where's my oats & that other "good" stuff the other lady gave me ?? Come on, put the garbage on the table !!!!! Move it , move it....I cant be out here walkng around alll day ;D

Hahaha...
You know, he sees at least as much as Sunline does. I can't believe he was ever "running through fence" and impossible to deal with. He's very sensible and very pretty. He still has that stallion "look of eagles" to him in person. Pictures truly do not do him justice. He really was a breeding quality stallion in his day. He has the Appaloosa color but the Arabian head.
