I haven't updated on Clover in a long time! Clover is back with me as she was a little sore behind and was having some skin issues. While she loves kids, I think she may be at the point where leading around little ones is as much work as she is up to. I would love to find her a home where she could do that, but she is not a cheap pet - she costs about $5 a day to keep up to weight because her teeth are pretty much useless and she needs soaked pellets and lots of them to stay happy and shiny. If anybody could use a very talkative, friendly, funny, but fugly, large pony that is about nine thousand years old...I'd be happy to free lease her to anybody who can afford to feed her. She is not, however, a good companion horse. She is great with kids but not so good with other horses - she's an old grump that way. In the meantime, I have to thank Jellybelly who's given her a place to hang out for now. She is positively obese living over there and her coat looks fantastic. Everybody at her farm loves Clover (including her palomino stud - it is hilarious - we have to keep telling him that is one mare he is NOT getting anywhere near!) and spoils her with wafer textured horse treats that she can eat and swept up alfalfa leaves as a treat. She will scratch your back if you scratch hers. She is hilarious!

Cat, I don't think anyone can use the term "fugly" as lovingly as you do....any horse would be so lucky to be in your care!

She really DOES win the un-halter horse sweepstakes!
I love her though, she's just got personality plus. She is SUCH a character.

Clover is so darn cute and so sweet. I remember her from NWEEC and she was always happy to have a scatch and a pet. Sweet girl! She looks fat and happy!
