The scary thing is that I brushed and curried 1/2 of it off before she left my place LOL so you can imagine what a little wooly bear she was before that!!! I brushed her in her stall while she was eating and there was not a shaving to be seen...it was all chestnut hair for about an inch thick!

This day, Saturday, started out to be Clover related, but turned into this cute story. and to keep focus on LIl Clover and to bump this up a bit, I thot I wud add it here ( bare w/ me , ya'll kno Im wordy ) ;D MY 7 yr old grandson, Justin , spent the weekend w/ me. Perfect fit for Clover and a good experience for him. Clover was way over in the far pond ( hint, lots of water ) pasture, so we trudged over there w/ the halter. As Im getting ready to put the halter on Clover, Justin finds a frog hopping along on the grass. The chase is on,finally he catches the frog.... Well, there goes Plan Numero Uno.... How does one 7 yr old hold onto a frog, hes despirately trying to keep in the palm of his hand, and get on a horse and ride at the same time ?? Ya, dont..... So now Ive got a wobbly legged 7 yr old, holding a frog and we have to manage to walk bk to the house through all the muddy sink holes.Justin manages to find 2 boot sucking mud holes and down he goes, off comes the boot, knee , into the mud, toe into the mud....BUT HE SAVED THAT FROG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D The frog , SHEEN , spent the day in a fish tank out on the bk deck, and really didnt want to be there.. After I went and blanketed Clover for the night ( she ended up having a bath ), all the frogs were out singing...I went bk into the house and told Justin, who had changed the frogs name from SHEEN to NO NAME, I kno wat the frogs real name is !!!!! It's RIBIT, and his whole family is outside calling for him because he is lost...we go outside and all you can hear is RII BIT RII BITT RIBITT i sayd, cant you hear his momma and dad calling for him, and his brothers and sisters, aunts uncles, cuzins ? Justin says, Yea, I can hear them..and goes bk into the house..So, me being me, go in after him saying, but wat abt his mom and dad, they miss him....how do you think your mom and dad wud feel if someone KIDNAPPED YOU ( hoping some fear, compassion wud enter into this some way ).... Justin turns and sayd, Oh , well, they'll get over it...!!!!! wen I got up this morning, oooooooooooooooooooops , SHEEn RIBBITT was gone................ Bottom line.............Clover got a bath and Sheen got to go home with a story to pass along to his future princes....

LOL that is hilarious! I do think it's easier to get 7 year old girls to focus on horses than 7 year old boys...

Everybody cross your fingers - I have 2 people interested in Clover and they both sound good. The first is looking for a horse for her sister, who has developed ALS and can't handle her feisty young horses anymore, but still wants to ride. The other is looking for a horse for her 5 year old daughter, who might want to do some trotting barrels and stuff (I think Clovie would be all OVER that.) Either home sounds good. I'll let you know!

OK, adopter #1 dragging heels, adopter #2 disappeared after I tried to set up a site check...well, better now than later! Clover, however, is doing wonderfully. She does, however, really need a job so if you know of ANYONE who could use a safe, sound, bombproof trail horse (I am baffled at why she's not placed yet, she's so great) or lesson horse, send them my way. I am ok with leasing her for the summer to a reputable lesson barn, too.

When Cat was takng the pictures I was on the other end of the lead rope..Everytime I stepped back to get out of the way, Clover would keep following me and spoil the picture. ..Even the green grass wouldnt keep her still.. ;D Clover has the nicest set of hooves for someone her age. She is now a solid muscle horsey ;D She will be perfect for someone who is either beginner or above, since she looks like she wants to run some barrels or chase cows..instead of sitting bk by the pond sipping carrot juice...

GOOD NEWS...Clover is going on trial to the same trainer who has Connor and Sanka.
I am SO happy about this. All I kept getting on her were e-mails that scared me. I'm sorry, I'm not giving this horse to your kid who's never had a lesson in her life and you, who clearly have not come closer to a horse in the past than watching "Seabiscuit" on video. Yeeek.
