Nobody is going to be deleting anything from the message board unless it meets certain criteria:
spam threats posting of someone else's personal info (such as phone, address, etc) illegal (such as posting copyrighted material)
And urging caution would be welcomed. Vitriolic attacks complicated the messages of caution, they complicate any message.
The rescues and the message board are not in conflict; they are complimentary for the reasons that I stated in the above post.

I am not able to agree with the reasons for previous deleted material.
I know for a fact Drsgjnky has had warnings about people frequenting the board deleted. Anyone on the SAFE board knows he does not post "vitriol". Occasional dry as the desert sarcastic humor yes, but never vitriol LOL
He was the one who urged looking into freedomrider's background. He was censured for doing so. If you want to know the quality of care she provides feel free to look at Cadillac's thread.
You will find him in the deceased horses.
That should tell you a bit about what people tried to warn you about.
There were other cautionary posts about hoarders and backyard breeders that were deleted as well.
SAFE and other legitimate rescues are hurting for donations and quality placements.
Instead of enabling a horder or BYB by giving them a place to network, how about helping SAFE place horses so they could take on more in a responsible manner.

As I stated no one will be deleting posts unless it meets the above criteria. This policy is firm and in place. Move forward and work to help us to help you; one of the ways in which that can be accomplished is to resist couching your messages within vitriolic attacks. And as you point out about donations and placement, there's more that can be accomplished by working together because the times call for it. And if a sticking point is the threat of being deleted, no worries. One of the things that I've done besides make donations to SAFE myself is to post a link on my facebook page, highly recommending them and donations to them.

All rescues have issues because they are run by humans, SAFE deserves credit the mistakes that have been made have been learned from and they are not hidden."
Couldnt agree more. I personally think SAFE prospered after their affiliation with CBER, they learned exactly what NOT to do. I don't think any of that has ever been hidden and there are threads on this board with CBER horses SAFE took in.

Nobody here can say they were not warned about this woman. Both Eliz and kl have been members of this board since October when this horse got picked up from the auction. Go re read this thread, specifically this page. One member outlines the past behavior of the woman who "rescued" Cash pretty well. schwung.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=genchat&action=display&thread=5533&page=7Anyone with half a brain could see where this would end up the minute the ball started rolling.

People did "urge caution" about equinefreedon aka lost souls aka eternityrider and their posts were promtply deleted or ere told "this has been discussed alredy and will not be discussed furter". It's almost as pathetic as when convicted animal hoarder Dean Soloman was a moderate on "Rescue's Only".

To quote Caddyshack from Oct, 2009....
"On your stallion page I see NO training or showing record for that horse and no pictures of him even being ridden. What I’m seeing is a lot of plans: plans to breed, plans to train, plans to show, etc.
Here’s what I mean about the breeding: Your palomino bought from auction: “She will be bred to Blu Eyed Handsome Man in February for a 2011 foal.” Paint mare: “Currently in foal to Coasters Easter Cwboy, a Cremello Tobiano Stallion located in Oakville, WA for a 2010 foal. (Foal will be sold.)” Another auction horse: “We sold this mare but her owner was nice enough to allow us a breeding season with her. She was bred in May to Blu Eyed Handsome Man for an April 2010 foal. This foal may be available for sale.” Another horse: “This beautiful mare is going to be staying with us for two breeding seasons while her owner finishes up her college classes. She will be bred to Blu Eyed Handsome Man in February for a 2011 foal.” Ginger the pony: “This mare is in foal to Docs JB, a perlino stallion out of Oakville, Washington. This little mare is available for purchase. We've had a lot of interest in her but no one wants to deal with the foal.” Crystal Magic: “This mare is a proven producer who outproduces herself. She is a great addition to any breeding program. Currently not in foal but sells with a breeding to any stallions at Eternety Arabians” Costmeplenty: “This is a mare for anyone looking to breed an all around sport horse.” Corona Boralis: “She compliments the qualities of the stallion she's bred to and out produces herself both times. You can't find lines like these anywhere with the conformation and disposition she has. A prize to any breeding program for performance, sport and halter horses.” Dancin Flames: “Has been used for the past couple years as a broodmare for half-Arabians. Produced two beautiful half Arabian fillies, by the perlino stallion Blu Eyed Handsome Man. One of which I own and is currently available for sale”
The horses listed here are either currently in foal, have plans to breed or are being sold as suggested broodmares. Whether the horse is owned by you, or a friend, or a friend of a friend, it’s still your responsibility to at least try to talk some sense into the people around you to act in the horses best interest.
This seems to be a different than what you were saying in May ’09: “People sell bred mares because they believe that the 2 for 1 deal gives their horse the extra umph to sell faster.... Which I know it doesn't. It is quite a shame that people still over breed. Having a stallion doesn't help. I lease the stallion that I have now. He's great for my program but he's not my perfect dream stallion, which is why we haven't bought him, plus his owner doesn't want to sell him. He's her baby. Anyway it's amazing how many people have asked me why I haven't bred him to all my mares (I have four total and we may be purchasing two more). That would be 4-6 babies next year! WHAT!!!! Uhm no. I'm sorry. As a trainer I have my hands full as it is. I bred one this year for a foal next year and I'll breed one, MAYBE two next year for a foal or two in 2011, all three I intent to keep to show and use in my lesson program in the future. It's absolutely AMAZING how people I know who have been doing this for 10, 20 even 30 years still breed everything that comes into heat that they can get into foal."
Don't ever say you didn't know. When information is out there in plain sight and you CHOOSE to ignore it or pretend you didn't see it then you are considered informed. When the eviction notice is hanging on your door and you don't look at it that doesnt mean you weren't served!

kdunham - just because someone belongs to a board doesn't mean they read everything on it. If you look at my 96 posts you'll see that almost all of them were on the Auction thread - I logged on and went directly to that part of the board. I have never spent anytime looking around at all the other sections... just logged on and glanced through the "todays" and opened if I saw something interesting. I can honestly say that until you just posted that link - I hadn't seen that conversation. In fact in my PM's to WLF and PK I asked them what the history with GLA was other than her having too many horses and unfit stallion containment. I would have welcomed someone pm'ing me this post previously.

Sadly, this is exactly why so many of us have begged to keep exactly this kind of discussion off. this. board. This is the SAFE board, dedicated to discussing SAFE, their horses and how to support SAFE.
Another victim to shotty rescuing. *sigh*

My mistake. I thought SAFE was part of a community.
And if anyone has any issues, report them to AC.
I want my point listened to calmly if that's possible because I have gone out of my way and I have donated to SAFE and supported you in the past.
This auctionhorse message board should not be a focus of hatred and extensive vitriolic attacks that don't help anyone. I do read the auctionhorses website daily, from one end to the other, and appreciate the hard work and the changes that I see and the opportunity for outreach and intervention.
Thank you.

The other night I was riding in the car with my husband and daughter. We were on our way to the Christmas choir show at the high school. In front of us there was a Hummer2 swerving across the center line. It kept coming over then going back. We could not tell if the driver was drunk or what. Kurt attempted to go past it and I noticed the gal, she was texting on her phone. She stopped and sped up going ahead of us again. Then she started drifting back over the line. Finally we passed her. She was texting again. We came to a stop light and Kurt pulled up beside her, I rolled down my window and hollered, hang up the phone, you are dangerous. You know what, she gave me the finger!
I feel like Amanda and Kristi are like that woman, they just swerve and weave along doing something stupid. They would not even know if they caused an accident because they are only thinking of themselves. Then if someone calls them on their bad behavior, they are given the equivalent of the finger.
I think this thread should stay here and the conversation allowed. It is a perfect example of how someone took a poor innocent animal and with their bad behavior, ended its life.

You know... I did not know the history of this horse, so I just spent some time looking into this. Apparently Cash was gotten long before the Auction Horses board even existed, and that is why I couldn't find any originating info there... Here's the first thread I can find about him in case anyone else is in the dark about the beginning of it all. schwung.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=genchat&action=display&thread=5533&page=1
