hahaha, you caught me peeking...............
well, i havent made a decision yet. Lark , for now is just on vacation at the spa..shes here to recoop, and gain weight and mayb along the way shell will end up staying forever.
slyder on the first day, fell in like w/ her. he follows her around and keeps her company. buckwheat ( mare ) instantly had her nose out of joint w/ all the time sly was now spending w/ lark. sly wud follo lark arnd the pasture, and buck wud follo after trying to keep lark and sly apart. so now sly divides his time between the two ladies. the first day i had to go bk to wrk i cam home late and found lark just standing in the rain. the other two, w/ the ringleader buck, were under the shelter and dry as dry cud b...since then the weather has been better, lark is feeling more at home and has found several trees she likes to stand under to rub against. shes even lady enuf to roll in the dry spots, if she can find any, and not get extremely muddy. this morning b4 i left for work, i had a bright spot ...both buck and lark were standing side by side under one of the favorite trees...and ther was poor ol sly standing up by the barn w/o any ladies... so as time goes by, lark is finding peace and alot of carrots.... she has a sweet soft nicker to greet you w/ in the morning which is a delite to hear.... shes not to fond of the peppermint snacks, so b4 today she redily gave them to buck, who loves em..but then buck likes beer and coke too.... sooooo we shall see wat happens , but just kno she is well fed and has lots of company

Hi all, I saw Final Flurry's filly "Flying Flurry" run at Emerald Downs yesterday! She is a beauty. I bet on here to win, but unfortunately, she didn't come in...it was a huge field of horses though. I talked to the owner, Karen Kirshner...and told her she could see photos of her filly's momma on here. She seemed interested in getting more information on Larkspur.

Thanks Kellie! I'd heard her filly was running, now I just have to go register so I can watch a replay! Thanks for sharing the site with her filly's owner, too. Lark is one classy mare.

No wonder Lark was out yesturday kicking up her heels...mama's intuition musta been work'n a lil
lark is abt 99% shed out now and lookng pretty good, her hips are beginning to fill out and just a bit of rib showing....she spent her first blanket free days and lots of sunshine this past weekend. she even took the time to scoot sly outa her hay this am, too....

well, i never got around to using the Hot-Wash....one thing says it needs a pressure valve, the other says, easy, just hook it up to your water......sooooooooooooooo, ther it sits, waiting. Her tail is the main mess now, the rest is easy to keep clean. ive even had to get the dryer sheets out to combat the static electricity in the tails, all that switching bk/forth aftr those danged flies ....
lark looks funny because she has lost all her winter coat except for the spots that were between the ribs. so w/ that dark hair making it look like deep shadows w/ her ribs still poking out a lot. Her coat is a nice light golden brown, not a dark choc like her winter fur....im working two duble shifts this week, so my picture time is limited..ill try to get some new ones before if not by this coming weekend....
she is becoming a bit fickle w/ her hay. they dont like the alfalfa except the buds...then , oh, my, yesturday, it was soooo funny. i have to leave 3 separate piles of hay ( one for each, or all piles for buckwheat, she thinks )....what do you think these ANIMALS did next.....each one separately pee'd on their separate piles, then switched and went on to the next pile...... at the end of the day, all the hay was gone.............................imagine

Funny horses - I am glad Lark is doing so well! It is so fun to watch a new one shed out and see what their summer coat is. I can't wait to see pictures of her! Have you tried Cowboy Magic for her tail? The stuff is a miracle worker! It may help with the static problem of all that swishing.
