OK...don't know why the other two photos are not showing up. I am working on this and will post as soon as I can.

I missed all the excitement (out of cell phone and internet range all weekend at a ride) but I am so glad to see that things have resolved themselves in the best possible way.
I did call my husband after regaining service near the Columbia River - but the SAFE board was my second mission!

Now that things have settled down, anyone who wants to come and visit the baby please contact me to arrange a time. You are more than welcome, but I do want to be here and know when you are coming. Thanks! Sara, love to have you!

I hate that I live so far away from SAFE; it makes visiting very tough, but I'd love to help out with anything Mom or baby needs. A phone call and credit card # to the local Monroe feed store is easy enough

Sampson got his own photo essay this morning. He's strong in mind and body - and there is not a shy bone in there - he takes after Delilah in that respect. Jet and I tag teamed on the attention, or all the pictures would have been closeups. blog.seattlepi.com/horsebytes/archives/201071.aspI wish the sun had been shining like it is this morning (in Seattle, anyway), because he did some amazing sprints but it was hard to photograph! He is thoroughly paparazzi-despooked already, fortunately, and didn't mind the flash one bit. There are some more pictures on Facebook too. www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=158837&id=122967233300

So cute, Monica. He is a bit mouthy and apparently has tried to climb on some people, so the boundry reinforcement is so important for him right now. He looked like he was havin fun with his new friends. Such a curious lil boy!
Now that he is getting his chompers I hope he doesn't start eating Delilah's beautiful tail ala Lola and Sinatra!!

I have a few photos too and will upload later...but I have to say the very first thing I noticed about him was that double swirl on his forehead. If you believe in the swirl indications, that shows he's gonna be a handful...Coconut has two, as well, so I have some experience with the TWO Brained kind of equine & so far, he is certainly a confident personality.
Thank goodness he was born the SAFE environment!!!

Have you seen Annie's face? Her head is basically one big swirl! We call her 'Elvis' behind her back because the ones on her cheeks stick out like unruly sideburns

heck, if he is anything like me (both born on March 26th), he will be stubborn, head-strong, opinionated and impatient! lol
Welcome to the world, Sampson.

The swirl thing must apply to humans too, because my daughter who is 3, doesn't have a part down the middle of her hair, she has two swirls, I've never seen anything like it. She is a very confident out going child, so there must be something to the swirl.

There would be a certain irony if Sampson chewed off Delilah's hair....
...but he is more likely to pick up her habit of munching on the arena boards. Lets all hope things dry up quick. Grass will keep him busy.

Turns out that Delilah has now made a game of taking down fence boards. Thankfully we've had some quick thinking volunteers and Jaime's practically getting a new rail on the arena thanks to Big Momma!! I'm sure Sampson's lower teething rail is not helping! But...we've kept them contained...so there's that!
