Craig wants to assist Crystal again with the trails course and I will do whatever you need to be done.

reposting, in case you missed it.
Here are the big assignments. We need major commitment and involvement from these folks prior to the day of the show:
Show Grounds Liaison -- ? VERY IMPORTANT! Someone to coordinate with Gwen Blake and Donida Farm regarding ring use, equipment, stabling, hauling in, scheduling, pre-show meeting, and day of show issues like unlocking show office, setting up PA systems, finding necessary equipment, etc. Gaming Ring Manager -- ? Coordinate timers, set up crew, scribes, etc for gaming. Help create gaming class list (immediate need). Work with Show Grounds Liaison to obtain needed equipment, etc.
Goodwill Ambassador -- Jenny - THANK YOU Contact other local horse rescues and invite them to participate in our show. Contact owners of former SAFE horses and invite them to the show.
Postering Manager -- ? Coordinate the postering efforts.
Two weeks prior to show:
Showmanship Coordinator -- Valerie Wood THANK YOU!! Work with judge, Get cones, letters, patterns posted, help judge day of show
Stabling Manager Work with Show Grounds Liaison to establish a system for stabling assignments, and the logistics of getting horses into stalls the night before and the day of show. Volunteer Hospitality Arrange for coffee, water, snacks and sodas for volunteers day of show and set it all up in a convenient location.
FUNDRAISING: We need absolutely everyone to jump in and help with getting sponsors, but it appears to me that Coconut and Fatblackmare are taking the lead on this. They can't do it alone though, and if each one of us could just bring in a $100 sponsor, we would be able to raise all the money we need to put this show on.
Here are the sponsors we have to date:
Parrot Heads of Puget Sound: $250 (pledged) Synergy Massage: $50 (pledged) Laurie Taylor: $25 (paid) Beth Thompson: $50 (pledged)
grand total: $350 pledged, $25 paid
Expenses: Show Ground Rental: $700 Ribbons: $300 approx Supplies: $200 approx Shirts for Volunteers: $300 approx Insurance: $150
total: $1,650

Everyone, it is breaking my heart that I am not getting much of a response to my pleas for help. I know that you guys don't expect me to do all of the preplanning myself. So it would be very very beneficial to the show if I could get some people to step forward to take on the following positions:
Show Grounds Liaison -- ? Someone to coordinate with Gwen Blake and Donida Farm regarding ring use, equipment, stabling, hauling in, scheduling, pre-show meeting, and day of show issues like unlocking show office, setting up PA systems, finding necessary equipment, etc. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH SAFE SHOW EXPERIENCE FOR THIS Postering Manager -- ? Coordinate the postering efforts.
Showmanship Coordinator Work with judge, Get cones, letters, patterns posted, help judge day of show
Stabling Manager Work with Show Grounds Liaison to establish a system for stabling assignments, and the logistics of getting horses into stalls the night before and the day of show. Volunteer Hospitality Arrange for coffee, water, snacks and sodas for volunteers day of show and set it all up in a convenient location.
These positions don't mean that you have to do all the work, you just need to make sure the work is being done.
Regarding the Gaming Arena, I am working on finding a Saddle Club that might be willing to run the entire thing for our benefit.
But as for the other positions, if we don't work together on this show, I don't see how we can pull it off. I would hate to have to cancel it.

Oh no! I don't want the show cancelled either!!
What can I do from a distance to help Bonnie? Assign me something and I'll do it. I just need to be able to do it from a few hundred miles away!

I will do either of these -whichever you prefer
Showmanship Coordinator Work with judge, Get cones, letters, patterns posted, help judge day of show
Stabling Manager Work with Show Grounds Liaison to establish a system for stabling assignments, and the logistics of getting horses into stalls the night before and the day of show. Or, if you think I can pull both off, I'll do both.

Volunteer Hospitality Arrange for coffee, water, snacks and sodas for volunteers day of show and set it all up in a convenient location. After reading everything over, I think I could feasibly do this for you. I am usually at the show grounds at the crack of daylight to start setting up my trails course. With Craig helping me with trails, I can get a volunteer station set up as well. Speaking of setting up trails, what do we have for materials? Does Donida provide them, or do I need to try to round them up? Would you like me to make a phone call and check if you don't know?

Thank you Crystal and Valerie!
Valerie, you probably can't do both because they're both early morning things. If you could just take the Showmanship Coordinator position, that would be terrific.
Crystal, you don't need to do anything besides trails. Thank you so much for offering, but I think there is probably someone else out there who can take on this role.

K well hubby is more than likely joining me this year for the show. We'll probably also have our twincesses in tow, so he'll be monitoring them, but he should also be able to help out where he's needed. The twins are finally getting old enough to enjoy this to some degree. Like I said before, we can take on one of the companion horses for SAFE if need be. Between him and I, we could handle it. I was kind of hoping to be able to bring my own horse to the show this year, but I don't have a trailer and he isn't technically mine yet. I think I'm successfully wearing down the hubby on that though!! ;D Oh and speaking of the twins joining us this year, I have two VERY cute curly headed little girls that would probably LOVE to do lead line on someone's bomb proof horse if someone needs a very cute little rider or two!

What does "Postering Manager" entail? Is it just coordinating who puts what where? As long as it's something I can do via email and here on the message board, and doesn't require me to be physically up north (I live in the Olympia area), I can do it.

As long as it's something I can do via email and here on the message board, and doesn't require me to be physically up north (I live in the Olympia area), I can do it. Since I didn't hear back regarding the Postering Manager, I'm assuming that you don't need me for this...? Or you want someone from a county further north...? I have a limited amount of free time to volunteer and there are other things going on this summer that I could help with. I thought I'd give SAFE priority since I have a SAFE horse. Could someone please respond so I can make other commitments if you don't need me? Thanks!
