Yes, she all but ignores Little Miss and Jasmine who are also next to her but Annie comes around and she starts squatting and peeing (yes, she's in heat). In fact, now that I think about it, Amber does the same thing around Annie when she's in heat. I thought it was just Amber that was confused, but now maybe I think it is Annie!

Poor Scotti. He's such a sweet little guy, friendlier than anything. I still have faith that someone will be a match for him. He deserves it.

Hi july...thank you for your interest in Scotti. Unfortunately we do not adopt horses out of state. I hope you can find a buckskin ASB somewhere close to you (you are close to Saddlebred country, I am sure there are lots!).

July, definitely check out Saddlebred Rescue at www.saddlebredrescue.com/ - that would be a great place to start to find a local Saddlebred in need.

After his hoof trim today...and while everyone was focused on Lola and her antics, Scotti decided he'd like to pick up Daphne's Hoof Stand...he kept trying and trying at different angles to get his teeth around the pad... When that wasn't working he decided to put his own hoof up on top again but he kept missing... Since he was so interested in using his feet, Daphne, in her great way of "playing" that is actually training, cleverly disguised, she get's him to show just how far he can extend that elegant saddlebred front leg... He's got a great combination of intelligence and curiosity plus an adorable personality....but more than enough naughty to make him...Scotti

Scotti came out for a grooming and groundwork session on Saturday. His attention span is about 10 or 15 minutes, then he gets super antsy; walking off and being distracted by the other horses. However, a tug and firm word brings him back from outer space. Out free in his paddock, he will still crowd you but he backs off when you ask him too. He is just too outgoing! He was very good for his grooming, stood nicely and only nipped once. He leads like a champ, picks up all four feet no problem and needs no halter to put on or take off the flymask. He is just a little darling

Found some cute pictures from earlier this spring: Scotti: "Hey guys, stop sleeping and come play with me!" Lola: "Snore." Aiden: "zzzz" Scotti: "If you don't get up, I'm going to bite you!" Lola: "Hey now!" Aiden: "zzzz" Scotti: "You asked for it!" <chomp> Lola: "Ouch! You bit me! Why I outta...." Aiden: "Huh? What's going on? What'd I miss?" Scotti: "Oh, you're up now. I guess I don't want to play anymore. Hey look, its a person! I'm going to bite her instead!" Lola: "Oh come on now, I'm up, let's play!" Aiden: "Can I go back to sleep now?" Scotti: "Neener, neener, neener...." Lola: "Did you see what he did to me???"

Have there been any potential adopters for Scotti? I took him out of his stall a lot at the show because people wanted a closer look at him. There was one woman who seemed REALLY interested.
He's gotten so much better just in the past month. It's incredible.
