Who said she was 17.1? Yes, I think she is about 16.2-16.3 also.

Can I get a little of that magical land and stall fairy dust? Snuggly punkins are my favorite, whatever the color ;D Do we know anything about this girls history? I know that we knew there was a missing TB, was there any more info along with it or just that she was missing? EDIT: I just read the first post better instead of skipping to the pictures lol So she is JC registered, cool! EDIT AGAIN: I'm curious and impatient lol! Here she is on pedigree query www.allbreedpedigree.com/no+halo+for+me They have her listed as 17.1?? Is she really that huge? I remember the photo thats attached with it from willows thread schwung.proboards67.com/index.cgi?board=rehab&action=display&thread=3485&page=4I'm sure Jaguars owners will be excited to hear his dam has survived! Right here...

Ahh...well they misjudged her height a bit I would say. She's still a good-sized mare though!

My old mare was listed at 16.1 and she was easily 16.3! So I don't trust the heights listed very much!

So Dr. Hannah is sick and so we'll have to reschedule Haley's appointment to get floated and palpated tomorrow. However, I might be imagining it but she looks like her bag is much bigger and fuller than when she came. So....
Also, I am happy to report that Haley has finally given up on any chance of me bringing her bread to eat and decided that hay isn't so bad after all, and is now a great eater. She gets grain at night, and she loves that best of course, but she's cleaning up her hay well also.

Has she been missing the bread? Silly mare. If she is pregnant, is there any idea of who the stallion is? Tell Dr Hannah to get well soon!

I am not sure if she was missing the bread, but she was not that interested in hay when she came and would nicker at me every time I fed her like she was expecting something else! Um, I am willing to bet $20 (proceeds to SAFE) that if she is pregnant that she will deliver a half-Saddlebred buckskin foal. Anyone want to bet against me?

Well what's our other choices? I will put in a $5 bet if I know what my choices are. Did she have any other studs? Wasn't there an appy stud?
Also, does anyone know when Seas the Golden Day passed? I've been curious for a while now, and I don't think anyone has ever really said that I can remember

There were, I believe 5 studs total. Two died a month prior to the seizure - Seas the Golden Day and one called Halo (at least, according to the newspaper report) that must have been somehow related to Haley. I was told they died pretty gruesome deaths...Seas the GD was found in the mud at the bank of the stream they drank out of, he had fallen in the water, was too weak to get up and died of hypothermia. The story I heard about the other stud is too gruesome to even repeat. Then there were three studs that were seized by AC, two arabs and an appy. The appy was young and put down a couple of months later for "failure to thrive", apparently he wasn't gaining any weight and very depressed. I believe the two arabs are alive and well. One is very young though, the other is older. And I was also told there was another stud that died last August.

OK, that's horrifying. So anyway, it's possible the baby is either half saddlebred or half arab. Could be appy, but not too likely. And hopefully not bred with the one that was possibly related to Haley. Hmmm, let me put some thought into this and then I'll place my bet hinging on her actually being pregnant. Any other takers want to bet what the baby is if Haley's pregnant?
