I saw her this past weekend, and with Mike's supervision, did some round pen work with her, and also picked up her hind legs. She was a very good girl about it. Mike saddled her and indeed she was anxious during the saddling process (danced around), but she stood still when he put his entire weight in the stirrup on each side, and again was a good girl. Then, we took her outside to graze while she wore the saddle. She is very green still (of course), and we are discussing keeping her in training for a bit longer. I have pictures, but I haven't developed them yet!

Thanks for the update! I still want to go see her someday, she looks like a real nice horse. Elma is like 2hrs away from me though... Maybe if she is still available this summer I could make a trip down to see her .

mmmmm -That's Eastern Washington? right? I'm from Enumclaw 20+ years ago, so I sort of forget locales. Basset is stunning!

HC - if your friend is interested, she should fill out an application and then send it to us (go to the FAQ section). But there's a but... We are going to extend her training for another month or so and so she will be on "hold" for that time; she will be going with her current trainer to HIS mentor's place in Idaho! This is an exciting opportunity for Basset! This is where she will be: [ftp]http://www.fullcircle-ranch.com/[/ftp].
