did she shed out white? It almost looks like it. I wonder if she's a blue roan...?

Yeah she shed out bright white bigtime over the past week and is still working on it. Wheelbarrels (literally) full of hair have been coming off our poor little pumpkin but man does she feel great about it - so happy and frisky! I can't wait for her to finish and give her another good bath to see what stays dark or not. Maybe a blue roan? gray? I'll have to post again when the transformation is complete

I'm pretty sure she's not gray...at her age she'd be pure white year round if she were.
My guess is for blue roan or silver dapple, but I don't know...I am certainly not seeing the chocolate palomino in there...

a sad update from Patti:
To All: Today has been an extremely difficult day. I wanted to let you know that Dina aka Fubar passed away this morning, 1/24/09, of colic. She was fine and perfectly happy yesterday being her usual fun-loving self. Sadly, when we got outside for morning feeding it was clear she had come down with colic in the night and had already ruptured. The vet came immediately and put her down; she passed very peacefully. The vet commented on how old she was and thanked me for keeping her in such good shape (she was the same vet that diagnosed her with having Cushings a while back and she remembered Fubar fondly). I cried until I was sure I had no tears left to cry - and then I cried some more. The kids and I will miss her very much but we know she had a great life with us and her last days were full of happiness and love.
I want to thank EVERYONE at SAFE for making it possible for us to have had such a wonderful pony. She was everything we could have hoped for and more. Remember that at the end of the day when you are stressed out, tired, weary and already worrying about the next horse to come along needing somebody - although you might not hear the thank you out loud, your work is always appreciated. Thank you all for doing what you do.
Always, Patti Roessner

I'm so sorry. It's wonderful that she had a family who loved her.

Oh, this is so sad. Patti, you did such a wonderful job with Dina. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her and giving her two years of love and good care. Hugs to you and your family, I know this is a hard day for you and also for Tucker, as I know Dina was very special to him.
