Logan is a 9 yo 17h blood bay thoroughbred gelding, never raced. He has a sweet, kind disposition. Good around kids, dogs, and busy environments. He is good with other horses in a pasture setting. His best job would be light riding (trails, flatwork) and turn out would be a plus. His temperament truly is wonderful, easy to lunge, trailer, ground ties--he has had a fair amount of training over the years. Logan has arthritis in both hocks and in his front right pastern (the pastern was probably an injury). The vet suggested treating him with bute on days when he is uncomfortable. He was jumping with his prior owner and wouldn't stay sound--so he's not a candidate for performance riding. Both the vet at Pilchuck and the trainer are willing to have a conversation with anyone that is interested in adopting Logan. He is currently located in Carnation. All medical records are available. Adoption contract required. Adoption Fee: TBD Video Clip: good-times.webshots.com/video/3021338930102706351NbFjtz

Are you going to ride him? I hope he finds someplace with a tall person, there aren't many that want a 17hh trail horse

Slew, once again you and I will have to have a rock-paper-scissors-off; tall bay geldings are MINE! All MINE! ;D
If only we could find our horseless doppelgangers out there, who NEED to have a lightly rideable tall bay TB gelding!

Well, he's part of the SAFE Chestnut Fan Club - we were trying to diversify you! Thought what about that pony of yours, is he a bay too?

yes, he is dark bay........but I guess not over 11H......so I lied.
Church=dark brown bay no white 17H Ollie= medium bay with two white hinds 17h Petey= medium bay with two white hinds 17H Beaver=dark brown bay no white
Petey and Ollie are marked almost identically. Most people can't tell them apart. Beaver and Church look like standard and mini models.
oh.......and I forgot about Neub.......the horse of a different color. technically I still own him.......he is GRAY......

I am a sucker for bays too. Especially dark bay, no white, with dapples!
Lady definitely needs a matching boyfriend. If only I had more money and space!!

I met the absolutely charming Logan today, though we didn't end up riding, not because of any concern at all, just timing issues etc.
What was written about this boy can in no way convey what a wonderfully sweet disposition he has. I truly do not think that I have met a better mannered horse in my life. He was a doll from beginning to end, all 17hh of him!
I will post more detailed information later this weekend when I download pictures, but who ever gives this boy his home for life will be getting an absolute gem.
Oh yes, I did want to add a bit to his sad story, this beautiful beautiful boy was literally a few hours away from being euthanized simply because he wasn't able to do the high level jumping that was expected from him, his rescuer literally saved his life. It brings tears to my eyes to think that this loving and so well-mannered horse was almost put down in the prime of his life simply because he shouldn't be jumped.
