Hey all, Allison and I combined the 2 storage lockers and oh my, there is alot of stuff we can sell and unfortunately just as much that needs to be taken away. There is lots of clothes that need to be bagged and given to charity and lots of trash that needs to be taken away. (if many of us show up - if each of us takes some trash - we can work it into our own trash for pickup).
I could sure use some help today - I am planning on being there by 1:00 so anyone who wants to help - PLEASE come help - we have alot to go thru and to organize it so we can move it quickly. My husband can help move the larger pieces to Allison's on Wednesday (Allison if that's ok) but we have to be able to get to them - so I need help help help!
If you can come down today and help me (allison will also be there at 3) PLEASE do. We are short on time and the more help we have - the faster it will get done.
If you come - BRING GLOVES!!! And something to drink - altho there is a coke machine in the office.
Here is the location:
Self Storage Depot 2727 Maple St Everett, WA
The locker is outside in the back of the building - L103. It's on Maple St between Everett and California. Near the trestle.

Sorry it is difficult for me to actually help "physically" with the event. We had planned on donating an extra saddle we had to the garage sale but it sold on consignment yesterday. The proceeds are being donated to SAFE and now no one has to heft around the western show saddle. Does that count as the first sold item for the garage sale? ;D

Nope, there have already been a few pre-purchases - but money is money is money is money is money!
And I would like to add that more money was paid for these items than we would have gotten at the sale.

Pre- purchases! That's how the savvy "garage saler" gets the good stuff.

I popped in at the garage sale this morning to bring a few items over, help with set up, and buy a few things as well. First of all, THANK YOU to all the volunteers who made this happen! I was amazed at how much great stuff there was and how much work has been put into this. SAFE is tremendously appreciative of your efforts!
If you get a chance, head down there! LOTS of great stuff and great bargains! (I spent $63 myself...).

Wow, awesome!!! So, is there going to be another day or did you sell enough to close up shop? Except for a few items to be sold elsewhere - the bulk of what was left over was free for the taking. Allison posted a craigslist ad announcing the free items and hopefully the "we like it free" fairies will carry it far far away.

I would also like to add my most sincerest thanks to Allison, Met, Jet, Les and Leah... and thank you again for the framed picture of Mr. Redmond dreaming the dreams of a SAFE horsie. SAFE will get more than $1,000. I have to total up my costs and decide what I want reimbursed and what I will write off - but offhand - I think the total to SAFE will be closer to $1500.00 when it's all said and done. I will know the final amount in a few days.
