I saw Wildfire this weekend when I went to pick up Viv. She's really warmed up - when she first came to Clayton's she was a little on the crabby side, now she's a pocket pony and loves attention! She is very cute, Clayton has round bales in the pasture for all the horses and she loves to climb on them and lay down for a nap. I wish I had gotten a photo of that, but we were on a time crunch so no photos this trip.
She's very rapidly graying...lots of white hair mixed in now. I wonder what color she will be when she sheds her winter fuzzies!

She sounds like a mountian goat climbing all over the place! Did anyone find out who the dad was?? I think she will shed out fleabitten grey....

I was talking to Clayton and he said that Baby has spots coming in! Too cute. I'll try to remember to get some photo's of her when I go out next time.

Wildfire has been moved over near Gig Harbor to be a companion to an orphan foal. I believe the new foster home posts on our board so maybe she'd be willing to provide an update/pictures?

Hi guys, I'll try and get some pictures next time I go to Melissa's. Baby looks really good now and should have her Diva pictures up like Brandy I can't get out there today, but this week for sure. She is being such a love buddy for Beau the foal. She has been a good teacher to for him to learn horsey stuff from. Melissa said she is just a joy to have around and wishes she could keep her, train her, and have around when smaller folk come to visit so they can ride. But she has her hands full with the new foal and her mare. She said Baby will be very easy to train and break to ride. She has a wonderful temperment and is very willing. When Melissa is cleaning her face she let's her clean all in her nostrils with no protest. Good little girl! I'll post later with pictures. If you are interested in seeing her Melissa is open to visitors to help place her so she has a home ready and waiting when she is done with her babysitting job I know everyone here calls her Wildfire, but to be honest the name doesn't suit her, she is definatly a Baby and since they don't come on the site here with us, she has been being called Baby all this time. She knows that as her name and if you guys spent some time with her you could see why we call her Baby (but of course whoever adopts her may name her whatever they like, perks of being the owner heehee )

Oh Boy you guys, I was at Melissa's today and Baby is soooo pretty. It was an unexpected drop by so I didn't have my camera, but she said she was going to take some tomorrow. Baby is black when you look at her from afar, but when you get up close you can see all the grey hairs mixed in, not a fleabitten type just mixed hairs. It looks cool. Her main is the kind that is black in the winter, but looks auburn color from the sun. She has gained alot more weight and looks even better than Brandy. Her blaze is big and cute and her whinney sounds just like Brandy's. Too cute. Melissa said she is a sweetie and should make for a good pony for someone as she is so receptive to human attention. I'll post the pics when they get to me.

Thanks for the update Amy!! Hey - do you remember if Wildfire has two blue eyes or not? That's what I clearly remember, and you can see one of them in my pictures, but Clayton swears she doesn't have blue eyes - only Brandy had the one blue eye.

Hey all, this is Melissa who has 'wildfire baby' at my house . She is keeping my orphan colt company. She has lost all of that fuzzy hair and looks outstanding....she is black...probably going to be grey in her late years. She has grey hairs scattered throughout her coat. Her eyes are dark although one eye has a small part that is blue. She is a love. She loves attention ., Yesterday I gave her a bath...I don't know if she'd ever had one...but she was great. It only took a few minutes to calm her from the cold hard spray of the hose...which makes a loud sqeeking sound.....so when I let her know it was ok she settled down and let me do the rest....the dripping water didn't even scare her. She has a thick amber mane that looks stunning against the black, and her coat shines. She will be very easy to train, and will make a child soooo happy someday. To all the grownups who were once children who dreamed of waking up Christmas morning to a red ribbon that said ...follow me....and you followed it out to a waiting pony with your name on it....do it for your child, what a thrill. Melissa

Aww Wildfire sounds so gorgeous! Every weekend (except for this one, I am going to the SAFE clinic) I go to Kent to visit Lady. Gig Harbor is right on the way...Maybe next weekend I could come and take pictures of Baby/Wildfire??
