What a great idea. A SAFE Calendar - featuring past and present SAFE Horses! I would be willing to do this if OKAY with the BOD. I did one before and didn't lose money ;D

Bonnie, is that Jay in the background of the first picture? HC must think he's living in the land of the giants!

The big ones always seem to be the gentlest ones! He is a handsome boy!

Liz Stabbert came by yesterday to photograph Jack before he leaves, and of course I made her shoot Honeycutt as well. I know we often joke about Honeycutt becoming a model....well apparently it's no joke to him! He stood nice and still for his close-ups, and conveyed a lot of emotion with his eyes and forelock. But when we turned him back out with the other horses, he put on a show for the camera the likes of which I have never seen! I am dying to see the pictures because if they came out half as gorgeous as what I saw with my own eyes, then we're going to have to make an all-Honeycutt calendar! Over and over again, he displayed his long gorgeous floating trot with his tail and head held high. Seriously I was blown away by his beauty. Plus he had this uncanny ability to choose the best light to run through... All the boys got into it at one point, like I said, I am dying to see the pictures! Thanks Liz, for coming by!!

oh, here's a funny thing about Honeycutt I haven't shared...I have a couple of cavaletti set up in may back pasture which I lunge Jay over on occasion...or try to....I swear that horse will do ANYTHING to avoid jumping over a foot tall obstacle. (I've seen him jump a 4 foot obstacle from a standstill to avoid free- jumping a tiny crossrail.)
But Honeycutt, when galloping in the pasture, will purposely jump the cavaletti! In fact the other day, he jumped two cavaletti set up as trot poles, only he jumped them diagonally! I was aghast!
Pity he can't be ridden! He's quite the little athlete.

I've wanted to see some new Honeycutt pictures! He looks great. My personal favorites are the ones of him smelling the flowers and the one where he appears to be looking deeply into Bonnie's eyes. Uh, Bonnie? I think he's in love!

I sooo love the seahorse image at the top of his blaze and he really does have a "see-horse" attitude...he is inspiring...you can really see his passion and zest for life...he is very expressive!!!

Truly beautiful photos of an incredibly beautiful horse! I agree...WOW!! Does anyone else think his blaze looks like a sea-horse head? Or a chess piece? I LOVE it I once saw a Paint on Craigs List who had a perfect horse head spot. How cool~
