Ok, Day 2 photos are starting now! They started out by saddling HC, Patience, and B, and turning them loose together: Patience is so beautiful! Patience and B were caught first, HC was not so sure he wanted to be caught again: Meanwhile, Ace waited in the round pen: While Dorothy worked on Azalea, who was very out in the poll and was not interested in having anyone touch her up there. Dorothy adjusted her.

First up to be worked was Skittles. Here is Rick climbing aboard...wait, is that a MOUNTING BLOCK he is using to climb on that pony???!!! We all got quite a kick out of watching him wrangle an ornery little POA who was not at all happy about his rider! Then it was Jessica's turn: Dorothy worked with Jessica too, even brought out some portable barrels to practice on: Sometimes bad little ponies need a slap to be reminded to move:

Next they worked on desensitizing the horses to ropes. B did just great at this: Honeycutt, not so well: But soon he got the idea: Azalea figured it out, no problem:

I'm going to have to politely disagree. Here's HC getting bridled: Saddling was no problem this day: Look at how relaxed he looks compared to the day before: Is he gorgeous, or what? But these photos say, I want to be a DRESSAGE horse! At a canter:

Azalea too, looks like she wants to have dressage in her future: Or maybe be a leadline pony: A driving horse, maybe? No matter what she does, her future is bright with Peri!

Patience, being well, patient, for her turn to be worked: I was very excited to meet Patience: And couldn't resist giving her a smooch on the nose:

Honeycutt and Azalea are so good looking that it doesn't matter how they are tacked up. They both have that WOW factor!

Max, the Jack Russel Terrorist, and Cassie, my Shih-tzu, kept everyone in line:

I know I've said it about 10 times today already...but I love Azalea so much I am so glad she has the home she deserves - finally!

Dorothy worked with Ace, he seemed to prefer a woman's touch: Saddle pad on: And the saddle: Dorothy is watching his ears carefully while she girths up: Because she could tell he was about to blow: He managed to dump the saddle a couple of times, but Dorothy learned to be quicker with the cinch and soon he settled: Next, it was Juliane's turn to saddle him: Rick gave her some instruction on how to girth him up quickly and safely: What a good boy!
