Boarding info (so far - we're working on a few other situations):
We have 3-5 stalls reserved at the Fairgrounds in Monroe. They are $15/night - shavings are provided. Water buckets, hay and feed are NOT provided - you would need to bring those yourself. There is trailer-parking on-site, and also a night-time caretaker. There is a Peruvian Paso show going on the same weekend - the stalls we've reserved are at the end of Barn 106.
If any one is going to come to the clinic and needs to board their horse for the weekend, please post that HERE, in this thread...

For anyone interested in the clinic - we do still have some space left. For right now, you can PM your request to:
Schwung CardiCorgi SafeHorses Pdevlieg (though I am out of town until Tuesday)
and we will help you get it all coordinated!
We look forward to seeing lots of you there and helping lots of horses!

CC - B is going to be boarding at the fairgrounds, Sarah O'Brien is his owner. I don't think they will be in until late on Friday as they have 5+ hour drive to get there. What needs to happen to get that set up oh you master of all you do?

So which horses are all going? I know about B, but who else? Currently Azalea Skittles (our pony) B Juliane was originally going to bring Ace but now is working with B - I offered her some of the extra helping hands if she wanted to bring Ace too Honeycutt Possibly Nysa though she is far away and Jaime has bravely offered all her crew to be worked with - Tessa, Vanna, Cactus Flower and Slam Still openings for anyone else that wants to come - this is a great opportunity at 1/2 the cost these clinics normally go for!

Thanks Peri! I would like to bring Ace as well, as I feel it would be a tremendous help for us! However, I'm not sure I can afford another clinic fee. Can you tell me how much more it would cost if I brought Ace too and worked with both horses intermittantly? Also, Sarah is dropping B off at my house Friday night. I will haul him to the clinic Saturday and Sunday, bringing him home in between Thanks everyone! -Juliane

Juliane - first of all, welcome to the board! If you are going to be bringing 2 horses for just you to work with then the price should be the same. The price is really per individual participant not per horse, unless you are planning on working them both at the same time (that would be interesting)!

LOL I haven't learned that trick yet! Ok, then I will be there with both Ace and B, taking turns with each! I'm so excited! See you all there!

Hi all, Just figured out how to get on this board. Problems with registration, ack, computers. Yes, Juliane has graciously offered to keep B for me throughout the clinic so no need to board (although thanks so much for helping to organize that). I am so glad she can also take Ace, I felt bad about filling his spot with B. Also, I will be there both days, not participating, just viewing, so I can help her out with the horses. Thanks so much, you guys are all wonderful. My husbad and I are looking forward to meeting everyone.

Whoops! Edited for reading comprehension! If anyone out there in cyberland plans to board their horse for the clinic, this is the skinny: We've reserved 3-5 stalls, on the *outside* of Barn 106. If coming in after 5 p.m., you'll need to check in and pay with Bruce, who lives across from Barn 105 in an RV. It is $15/night, and includes shavings only. You'll need to bring water buckets/feed buckets/feed/hay. They have wheelbarrows to use for cleaning the stall, but you might need to bring your own pitchfork. This is a link to the Fairground's website directions (and map): [ftp]http://www.evergreenfair.org/page2604.asp[/ftp] (I'll see if I can post it). I was told drivers should take the 2nd right off 179th (it appears to be the "white gate" on the map). There is a Paso Fino show going on - things might be chaotic. Tomorrow, roughly, I'll need a head count if anyone will need to board there...so if you are, please report on this board.

Jenny - I think Sarah was saying that she doesn't need a stall anymore, that Juliane is going to stable her horse for her overnight?

Juliane and softheart...I'm so glad you've logged in over here! ;D
Juliane, I am looking forward to seeing you this weekend so I can thank you in person for helping Peri and I with Bacchus. It meant so much to me for you to haul him that day since we were not sure at all how he'd react to it. That he came thru with flying colors that day was a huge first step for him and I know I felt a lot better about his chances after that! ;D

Your welcome, Safehorses! I had a great time on the road trip with Peri and I could tell Bacchus would have a positive future with someone who understood him. I was glad I could help! Now, if Dorothy can help me with Ace! He's a tough nut to crack
