I always have room....for me its just a matter of actually getting the horse (across the border)...anyone in contact with this lady. Anyone closer to the border (Oroville?? Tonasket??)who can keep this horse temperarily till I can do another trip down and get a vet out to the horse. And I dont just say this for this horse...keep it in mind for others as well...

I have a stall in Bridle Trails, pending my mother's approval. I would need help hauling. Currently there is 1.5 tons of Timothy in the barn, but I can only afford to keep one horse comfortably. Can SAFE help with a set of shoes/hay? I have a wonderful kind shoer who would come ASAP. I want to help this horse but am admittedly not in the best circumstance for a rescue, money and time-wise. Maybe I could house him until a better foster home comes up?
At the very least, I will go see him and post pictures. I will email the owner right now with my phone # and go see him tonight or tomorrow, as soon as possible.
I will post here with updates.

maybe you could keep him for the lady in the above post until she could come and get him?
I can kick in 50 bucks towards shoes or whatever.... I know it isn't much but it will help.

I have nothing else to do. I am recuperating from surgery, can't drive.....tired of TV, crabby...haven't seen my horses in a week.

I also emailed her about an hour ago. I sent my phone number too.
$50 bucks would help. I'll let you know if I hear from her...
(You poor thing! I hope you feel better soon, slew!)

okay, I have heard back from her......... she is willing to turn him over.....read and then tell who can do what?
she said: I am if he will be well cared for and well placed. I rescued him about 6 months ago. He was bald from parasitic infection, starving and so sad. He is now in good shape and up to date on shots and worming. He does need his feet done (He is great for the ferrier) and he is still working on putting on weight. I have all his paperwork and registration and pedigree (From Man O' War on both sides) He is about 9 and very ridable. If we were not being slammed by this relocation I would never do this but we have to be in Salem on Thurs. so I need someone to pick him up by tomorrow evening. Kirsten 206-9xxx6

I can commit to $100/mo for this guy's care. I am close to Duvall and can pick him up tomorrow afternoon. Anyone have any ideas where he could go? I am taking the new Arab mare, Shakirah, to Ally's (myhorsefaith) barn in Maple Valley. I think it's called Arcinigea Stables. I think there are openings and this guy could possibly go there. He'd have Ally and I checking on him often?! MTA: I didn't realize that Leahlady had a place for him to go - that's perfect! If the monthly funds and hauling are needed, let me know!

the most awful thing in the world is that when you think you have been rescued and then you must be returned to the nightmare.
An earlier poster said she could take him (the Canadian person?)
so, if we find a temporary dwelling, can you still take him?
this boy sounds healthy enough......
I love big TB's.......but I have two, plus Jack, plus a big Holsteiner and a pony..........this would be one too many for me. I still haven't put Pete to "Sleep"......no heart yet.
Help me out here...I am grasping....no gasping!
