So, I noticed awhile back that the board had been reorganized. Eliminating some threads and posts.
I see the race horse rehoming thread is gone now too. I was always watching the Blues Waters thread, I thought she was a looker. Is that gone too?
Also the thread that allowed other approved rescues to post their horses. Is that gone also?

We're planning to slowly transition SAFE's online presence to Facebook and eventually stop using this board. We just don't have the staff to update and monitor in so many places.
I'll move the Blues Water thread to the Other Placed Horses forum.

That's a bummer. FB is great for sharing pics, but not conducive to discussion at all. Lots of people don't even access it, I can't from work and I'm sure many others cannot either. I only visit FB a couple times a week, where I'll lurk this board daily. Please reconsider.

First let me say THANK you for moving Blues thread so we can continue to watch her. ;D ;D ;D Also im with Shekaberry i am not on FB all the time but do come onto this board daily. But if you don't have the man power to update it then it really isn't serving its purpose.
Thanks

Just an opinion from someone who has already left the building with Elvis............

I agree it would be a shame to lose the BB, but support whatever is most efficient.

I also would not like to lose the bulletin board. While I am on Facebook, it is a scribble-scrabble of information. I come here specifically to see what is going on and find this forum easier to look at than Facebook.
Issues and topics can be discussed and addressed better here as far as I am concerned.
Have you considered asking someone to help monitor this site, because if I had the choice, I would choose staying here and not using Facebook as your main board. Just my opinion as a long time member.

I also remember that someone (I think it was Bonnie) posted looking for someone to update the BB with the photos from Facebook. Apparently there were no takers. I'd do it if I had the photos. I don't recall seeing that request, but I love this board and don't want it to go away! Its so fun to go to the beginning of a horses thread and read about their journey. I recently did that with Sinatra's thread and FB can't do that.

It's really too bad that your going to let this board go by the way side. I for one will miss reading all the information on here that I doubt you will find on Facebook. I am on Facebook and I have Safe linked on Facebook, but I find myself coming here to find out whats going on. Now I know why I haven't seen much going on around here. I personally think your making a mistake taking everything to Facebook....but what do I know.

I appreciate that you guys like the board so much, and I agree with a lot of what you have said about its usefulness. If we can find a way to keep it going, then we will. But please understand that maintaining this board plus the website plus the FB page means posting the same information in three places.
And pk is correct, I did ask for help at one point not too long ago and no one responded. I didn't feel too happy about that.
At this moment in time, Jaime and I are doing everything we can to keep SAFE operating normally, and I am not exaggerating when I say that we are totally overwhelmed. Something has to give. When you take a look at the must-haves and the nice-to-haves, we have to focus on the must-haves.
We'll be asking all of your for your help in the next few days. I know that you'll all be there for us, I have no doubt about that.

Just my opinion as a long time member. I agree with what Laurie said regarding the disorganized nature of fb. I fell in love with Ariel and ultimately decided to come see her (and then adopt her) by reading her thread and seeing pictures on this board. On facebook, I feel bombarded by information and often ignore posts just because I don't have the time to look through everything that all my fb groups and friends post. I probably wouldn't have found Ariel on facebook, or if I saw a post about her, I would have read it and skipped down to the next post on my "wall." I saw the post asking for help, but didn't respond because, to be perfectly honest, when I've offered help in the past (doing stuff for the shows and site checks, etc) half the time nobody replied to me. I just assumed there was more than enough help. I am willing to help with anything that I can.

I'd be more than willing to help too, I can certainly upload photos and whatnot. And add my name to the list of people that prefer this format to fb.

Even though I haven't been logging in very much I am always on here. I would be delighted to help out. I a quite capable in the web-world so please let me know what I can do to help as I too believe this message board is a far more useful format than Facebook. BTW I also did not see the prior notice for help.
