Thanks for all the encouragement! I've been so nervous and excited. I'm still waiting to hear on my horse trailer- The brakes aren't working and the mechanic is still looking at it. But I have Rusty and all his tack cleaned up really pretty, so we're set to go! I'm pretty sure it would be worth people's money to see us in the halter class. We've been working on that and let's just say it's quite entertaining. Not so much for me, but definitely for the spectators I'll bring some art too! Thanks for the interest!

The show was a great success! What a fun day! I heard nothing but good things from exhibitors about everything...the location, the smoothness of how it was run, the judge, and on and on. It was a great day and I already look forward to next year! Cathy and Jaime, you missed your TWH ride on Mercedes today, but she is available and ready anytime you desire! Just let me know!

oh, one more thing.....the SAFE horses looked and performed wonderfully. I was impressed with each one and somewhat relieved I am not in the market for another horse, because choosing just one would be nearly impossible! Way to go Sinatra on your big halter win!!

I'm sooooo tired and will filter through my own photos tomorrow or?? but I did want to share the photo's my daughter took of my Grandson Daemon who got to ride Lexi in the Leadline class today. He thought she was a wonderful horse and remembered exactly what her name was when asked by the judge what his horse's name was...even though they'd only met about 5 minutes before that. The look on his face when he was handed his First Place Ribbon was priceless and apparently he's been on a Horse Show High ever since! Thank you for giving him the opportunity to ride a very special SAFE horse...Lexi was amazing! Here's a couple of photos...not a bad seat he's got in his pseudo-dressage(ish)-looking Lead Line Saddle ...and the BIG WIN!! and here's a Nony Shot....the Nonies were a hit!!!! THANKS Brooke

THANKS Brooke The little kids are always so cute in leadline! Jet, I saw you by the food trailer and didn't recognize you at first so sorry I didn't say hi. Then, I realized it was you and by that time, you were busy with the classes so I couldn't say hi. We stayed for the English portion only because the family was bored--can you believe that? I just love watching horse shows. Pond-a-luce-a is having a schooling show on 9/19 that I'm planning to put Sasha in--maybe I'll see you there. Megan

Stella and I had fun at the show yesterday. I love having both of my horses show, and it's really nice to have a talented young rider do well with one of them. It was great to see Kheema in action, she's been through some pretty horrid times, and I love to see her shine! Thank you Jet for making the beautiful garland! It's prettier than Sera's Regional ones!

...Thank you Jet for making the beautiful garland! It's prettier than Sera's Regional ones! You are soooo welcome and I really enjoyed making it. I have to admit that I had a feeling it was going to end up on Sera! (so I did eventually try it on the home arab just to make sure it didn't hang TOO far down ) I hadn't realized that Kheema was also yours! What a great job you've done with all of your horses I'm making a list of fantasy camps I'd like to send Coconut to: Kathleen for Trail Camp & You for Show Camp! Thanks for posting the photo of Sera in the Garland!! I LOVE IT!!! ps: tell those Regional folks to give me a call....I'll class em up

Here are a few of my favorites off of my camera... Cassandra & Sugar in (BOTH of) their first Show Class EVER! ...and a 4th Place Ribbon!!! GREAT JOB ;D My Barn Neighbor Rachelle and her OTTB Cajun King (sorry I missed the english photo ops!. I know you'll post them soon ) Someone I couldn't have done any of this without...she's a mentor, my ride, a friend and the one who came with me to get Coconut from her hell-home almost 3 years ago...Kelli & her absolutely handsome and talented Golden Expression (Shasta to us!) ...this isn't exactly a show photo but it's very special to me because I very clearly remember my son, Corey, leading Coconut through the very scary forest and deep mud & across the stream on her rescue day & I'm not sure I ever envisioned any of us someday standing calmly at a show together...He's a big part of her success and I know he considers her part of the family! And....because someone was sweet enough to grab my camera I actually have a couple shots of us

I don't know if the "slideshow" feature will work - but since there are 70-odd photos, you can go check them out in the album form also: <div style="width:480px;text-align:right;"><embed width="480" height="360" src="http://static.photobucket.com/flash/rss_slideshow.swf?rssFeed=http%3A%2F%2Ffeed121.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo208%2Fcoeblackwell%2FSAFE%2520show%2Ffeed.rss" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" /><a href="http://photobucket.com/redirect/album?showShareLB=1" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/share/icons/embed/btn_geturs.gif" style="border:none;" /></a><a href="http://s121.photobucket.com/albums/o208/coeblackwell/SAFE%20show/" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/share/icons/embed/btn_viewall.gif" style="border:none;" /></a></div> EDITED to add - Ooops, I guess not - needs to be in an html page.... Here's a sample shot of our blue ribbon halter horse: Link to album: s121.photobucket.com/albums/o208/coeblackwell/SAFE%20show/
