We've got to come up and agree for a name on this guy. Or did we all decide on "name pending"? LOL ;D

I like Cortez, too, but when I see Palomino's the name Dakota is the name that comes to me. Only because the Palomino at the horseback riding ranch (Happy Trails in Renton. Anyone remember that place by chance?) I worked at when I was 10 years old was my favorite guy, and his name was Dakota. He was such a sweet old gentleman...

hoo boy, I have to say I'm not a fan of the name "Dakota." I've run across 3 different neglected dogs owned by irresponsible 20-somethings, all named Dakota. Not to mention the worst little kid I've ever met, who kicked a cat when she thought no one was looking. No offense, Mara.

I call him Palomino, or Pal for short; I also refer to him as Sweetface. But those are cheesy. I know you can say it!!
I vote for Sunny, or Sonny (more 'manly')...

Auric is kinda cool. Maybe Midas, but I think Auric is a pretty cool name. Schwung or Jayb or anyone else have any comments? I just think he should have a name...even if he doesn't stay with us

Hey guys, I've been kind of holding off as I wanted to find out if the owner had petitioned to get them back. There is a hearing on the 17th (I think it just might be a plea hearing, not sure). Anyway, I was holding off until we knew a bit more but maybe we need to go ahead and name him. I think all the suggestions are great, I'll see about setting up a vote later.

I have to confess that while I like Rusty just fine........No Name has stolen my heart a bit. He is kind and enjoys attention- he will wrap his neck around when you groom him and gently touch you. I think that perhaps we should consider something along the lines of "cougar" or "gato" as he is a dilute palomino without distinct white mane or tail and has the coolest light colored amber eyes that really remind me of a cougars. He is prettty cool and when Rusty has to canter, No Name just lenghtens his big trot and does not have to work to cover a lot of ground. he is one athletic guy! He gained weight at Jaime's and is on the road to full recovery.
