I'm so glad that Tia is out of the Valley~ her old pasture had standing water.
My neighbor was able to drive out the Valley Rd this morning (after the large flood) and saw the stallion and gelding. They are tied to a porch. One doesn't even have a halter~ he's tied with a rope. Neighbor said it was awful. I'm sure she's scheming on what to do.
I can't get out yet due to the high water so I can't take pics. Neighbor won't be back through the Valley until after dark~ so no pics.
What can I do?

Call the cops hourly. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Email photos to the newspapers and news stations.
I would never encourage someone to steal horses, but if you notified the police that you would care for them if they would just sieze them it may help speed things up.

I've been calling and a few neighbors have called. As soon as I say 'I've got a concern about some horses...', dispatch automatically knew who I was talking about and I just brushed me off. Jaime~ I just sent you pics, maybe you can post them. I just don't understand how this is acceptable?

Overwhelmed here...can't help ourselves unfortunately. Send the photos you sent me and explain what has been going on to the various newstips emails...maybe one of them will pick up on it.

The water is low almost gone. I drive through it everyday. I have contacted the AC in the area many times over this and today faxed in a statement on the horses and the lack of basics during the flood. The horses are not located on the reservation. The lady that has them does the min acceptable requirements for the animals. I have almost ran over the dog many times on my way to work. The horses are actually tied to someone elses property on a fence that is barb wire. I have not gotten to take any pictures due to leaving at 5:30 am and getting home after 6 pm. But I have stopped and checked up on them. I have contacted AC all this week since they have been tied to the fence. The place they were kept is nasty garbage strewn mess with lots of mud the pen actually floods a lot. The Mini pony was released to another person sometime ago. I will try and get pictures tonight since I dont work late if they are still there since AC went out today. Will Keep you posted
