Lori- many congrats to you and Cedar. I am not surprised to hear that Cedar stole your heart the moment you met her- she seems to have that effect on people.

Lori, I am thrilled for you and especially for Cedar. I didn't dare post or even get excited until I heard this was official!
Congratulations, and I hope you will write us about the next chapter of her life.

It's so hard not to cry with happiness (I'm at work, so no blubbering allowed). This is the best news. I am so happy for you both and absolutely grateful to Allison for all the work she put in with Cedar to get her to this point. *hugs* to everyone and a big special one to Cedar and her new family.

It took a long time for cedar to be adopted and I'm one of her fans. I was thinking about this, and I really think it may have taken a long time because she was just waiting for the right person to come for her. Things happen for a reason, and I'm very happy for her that she finally has her new home.

Quick update to share with everyone that after checking out a wide variety of options, Cedar will board at Rockmeadow and we're going to train with Lisa Shane! The folks at Rockmeadow have been very nice and welcoming and I'm really excited to get her to her new home in a few weeks!

Cedar gets to live at Rockmeadow? Wow, that's quite the fairytale ending for a horse that was originally pulled out of a disgusting pit!

Hi everyone! Here's a quick, brief update as Cedar is settling in to her new home. She's doing great! She's of course in a new and very scary place (well to her at least) with all sorts of dangers that we have to spend time around so she gets used to them: riding past mirrors, jumps and fake rocks in the arena, flowers in some places around the walls, the radio! the guys who deliver hay and grain! walking in the dark to the arena! lots of others horses! She has a new boyfriend named Atlas, a huge dark bay (like Slam!) 4 year old dutch warmblood whose stall is right across from hers and he really, really likes her a lot. She's going to be in training full time with Lisa Shane for probably the next two months and will also get some weight/muscle built up. I'll take more pictures soon!
