I just found this article and thought I would share it with you. Julia lived with a nomadic Mongolian tribe and got to share their special bond with their horses. The horses do not run off even though there are no fences. www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes/....roduction/2887/The Przewalski's Horse was hunted to extinction in Mongolia. It has been reintroduced to their native lands. They were bred in captivity. Here is a video of this ancient horse breed being reintroduced. They are a weird looking breed with their very short necks. Enjoy!! animal.discovery.com/videos/jaws-and-claws-2-wild-horses.html

There are 5 videos on youtube showing Julia's stay with the Mongolian nomads. Here is the link to number 5, showing a children's horse race. Children learn to ride at age two. They are tied to the saddle. As a western mother I worry about these children not wearing helmets. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JZ9pvNzh0c&feature=related
