Baby, Day 2: He is fairly windswept behind currently: I consulted the bible on foaling "The Complete Book of Foaling" (by Karen Hayes, DVM), and it says: "The "windswept foal" is usually, but not always, borderline premature. <note from schwung: Are you kidding me?? Could this be possible??> Due to weakness and/or laxity in the tendons, joints, and ligaments, his pelvis and hind limbs are deviated variously to one side or the other, giving him the appearance of standing in a strong crosswind. Depending on the severity of the condition, he may or may not have difficulty rising and getting around, which means that he may or may not require assistance with nursing. Once again, treatment for the specific leg problem is usually a matter of doing nothing, as long as the foal is able to get around. In terribly severe cases, support structures have to be custom-made for the foals's specific makeup and weaknesses, but as a rule, any supporting appliances are self-defeating since they tend to foster weakness in limbs that are already pathologically weak. Most orthopedists agree that all but the most severe cases of windswept foals recover spontaneously and grow to be normal, functional adults."

OMG I'm definitely dying from cuteness overload - the video is so funny! I love how he comes up, ALMOST makes contact with your hand, and then ZOW, off he goes!

WOWEEE! This colt is gorgous! Beautiful color! He's not as black as he appeared in the stall pics, but he's dried off now too. It's just so awesome to see him frolicking around his mama, instead of in his mama. Great Job again Viv!
I would also have to vote for Ozzie, or Aussie, which ever.

OMG.........I adore him..........he is so lovely........
almost makes me wish that MS. Mystery was "carrying".... okay, I didn't say that.
I just forgot how completely adorable new foals are.
Call him the Amazing Amadeus for Wolfgang Amadeous Mozart or call him Wolfgang ..........
or one of my favorite Mozart works...'Dies Bildnis Ist Bezaubernd Schon' loose German translation........Schon means "already"........my German is not that good....so correct me if I am wrong......but HEY........the music is good!
You could call him "Schon".......sounds good with Schwung.
