The heck if I know. I gave her Dam, Cami to a lady in Idaho three weeks after Lilly was born because she had some of Lilly's relatives and wanted her and Cami as riding horses. At the time I was out of work so it was a hard choice to send them away. The lady sent me photo updates every couple weeks and then about November 2008 I never heard from her again. I have been trying to contact the lady ever since. Her phone's disconnected and it shows she no longer owns the property I delivered the horses to in Idaho. How they got to Snohomish county I have NO idea. The person whom you gave her too never registered her. Maybe it was the same one who starved the horses. Do you recognize Aiden too? Was it Fran Farmer?

The bill of sale CLEARLY states they were suppose to come back to ME. She had my contact info, she could have called me, I would have been there in a heartbeat to get them.

I just spoke to Jaime on the phone, we got everything figured out. I am too far away to adopt her sadly and don't have the room right now. I still want to keep in touch with who ever ends up adopting her. I'll post her birth video if anyone wants to see it. My little Beep Beep.....wish I could pet her. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vwbu1j76TKc<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Vwbu1j76TKc&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Vwbu1j76TKc&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Maybe you could give her papers to SAFE. That way her heritage will not be lost and she would be eligible for breed shows. We all want what is best for the horses under SAFEs care and she has blossomed here, even after her rocky start. I am happy you found her and she looks like she is going to be a beautiful horse.

What a lovely video. You obviously loved her and her mother very much. This must be awful to discover. I had thought that her and Aiden were siblings because they are so bonded to each other. I was there when they were surrendered and her dam suffered terribly in the end. I am so sorry you had to find out this way.

It was VERY shocking. All Fran had to do was phone me. I may not be nice to her the next time if ever I see her again. She's a con artist through and through. Evil.
The even sadder part is that I rescued Cami from a bad home. She came to me half starved. That poor poor mare. I feel so SO awful.

I felt the same way after seeing the video of that sweet mother and baby. How sad to think that in just a few short months, they had to endure such suffering.

I thought I'd share these photo of Lola's dam (gosh it's hard to call her that). Lola looks just like her mother, save for the white hips. RIP Cami, you sweet soul.

jennmiller, thank you for sharing those photos/video...
You may not know what a treasure those are for those of us who know Lola and especially for the person that will one day adopt her. I've been able to share photos of the Dams of a few of the SAFE babies over the last few years and while it breaks my heart to know I was not able to save them, it gives me a sense of peace to be able to help fill in the blanks a little for the horses who survived (the questions are frustrating...I KNOW!!!) but also to give tribute to the mares who lost the struggle.
RIP, in deed, Cami
