I am almost certain that Casper was on Craigs List a few months ago. Do you know where he came from?
There was also a grey Arab Gelding that I offered to come see back several months ago and before I could come evaluate him they wrote and told me they'd found a home. I distinctly remember the photos of a very underweight horse with a saddle and a kid on it & I was upset that they were showing this obviously skinny, out of shape horse with a saddle to cover his obvious ribs.
I wonder if this is the same horse....I'll check my inbox at home and see if I still have any information in my email history. I did think it was down in the south end...like maybe Yelm or Roy or something like that.
the name Casper is very very familiar though...!?!?!?
ps: Grey Arabs with Pink noses.....absolutely heaven in my book! =8O)

Wanted someone to love a well trained older gelding who has been the love of a 6 year old's life for the past year. He loves attention but is not able to keep up with the pace of learning barrels and new riding challenges. He has new pasture mates who are picking at him so he needs a home where he can relax and maybe entertain now and then. He could be ridden by a newly interested young rider however his high steps not so high anymore.
He has been a great friend and playmate for my daughter and we want to see him go to a loving home. He needs someone who will love him through his retirement years. Free to a good home and we will deliver.

I corresponded with the owner and the horse's name was Spirit. From August:
Thank you for your response. We have recieved a number of responses and want to talk to everyone so we can put him in the best place for him.
Spirit is his name and he is a small horse, only about 14 hands and in his mid 20s. He loves to ride, but we have not let anyone much over 100lbs ride him. He is problably the best trained and one of the smartest in this group (I am going to get grief for say than). Whenever the 6 year old is around he follows her around like a puppy dog. He really is a great horse. He is just getting too picked on by the others.
We had Vet out last month to give all the horses their shots (he has all his shots) and general check-up and she said that his teeth were fine. She did not think that they would need to be floated until next pring at the earliest. He gets 2 large portions of senior feed everyday and his own private stack of hay, along with lots of fresh green pasutre grass. He has developed a bit of a pot belly since he has been here.
