Clover (Reg. name "Clover Honey") is an 11 year old palomino Miniature gelding, 40".
Clover is owned by "ruthie" on our board who has asked for our assistance in finding new homes for her two ponies, Rover and Clover. Clover has had ground training (Clinton Anderson techniques) and has been lunged over cavaletti.
Information on Clover from Ruthie:
Clover is friendly horse. He likes people and is easy to handle. He stands quietly when tied and behaves well for vet/farrier work. He enjoys being groomed and loved on.
Clover has only had ground training done. He is gentle around people. He does tend to crowd your space a bit, so we’re working on that. He is very bright though, and easy to train. He’s sensitive, so responds well to pressure. He is currently lunging over cavelletti.
Clover is also an amazing pony who any child (or even adult) would love to have. He’s adorable and providing we can get him sound, he’ll make a great driving pony.
Clover is recovering from an acute laminitic episode. He needs to be kept on a dry lot and off pasture. He is recovering well but still has sensitive soles so is best kept on soft footing. His prognosis for full recovery is very good with proper management.
Clover is currently located at a boarding facility in Pullman, WA. Because of his location, Ruth will be helping us with any site visits in her area if he is to be adopted out east of the mountains.
Adoption Fee: $250
$500 for both ponies
If you are interested in adopting Clover, please complete an adoption application and send it to adopt@safehorses.org. If you have questions about Clover, feel free to PM "Ruthie" on the board.
