I just looked at Hannah Evergreen's website and read her February newsletter. This spring she is offering "Therepeutic Body Work" seminars, maybe S.A.F.E. could host a clinic and make some $$. Check it out, it sounds very interesting!

I also have a standing invitation to host a Barb Apple clinic......she is AWESOME about donating her time to rescues and it could be done as a fundraiser as she normally commands a large price for her clinics. Google her....she is AMAZING

I tried unsuccessfully twice to get Slyder to a Barb Apple clinic before I sold him ( my body hit the ground tooooo many times, he needed school ). didnt make it for one reason or another, but I wouldnt hesitate going to one again..In fact I think she is in Battle Ground this week or next and in the sw area this month...
It would be nice to finally go and have it SAFE related...

I like both of these ideas. Hmm...maybe clearlybluebreeze will see this and put a bug in Hannah's ear to see what she thinks of it. As for the Barb Apple clinic idea, I like that idea as well! Is that something you could talk to her about, Chelsea?

Absolutely. I will e-mail her and see if she has anything available. We would need a venue. Preferably an indoor arena. She is also usually open to donating private lesson or a clinic slot for autions/raffles for rescues. I got her to donate one for Hope for Horses last year. I will see what she has available and let you know. Perhaps I can get a donation for the SAFE show raffle if she is booked up on clinics already......

I believe Barb Apple donated a clinic slot to the fundraiser auction that Slewgirl held for SAFE in Port Orchard last year. And I think it was Pdevlieg who won it.
I was at a Tom Nagel clinic that she rode in, very nice lady!

I spoke to Hannah this morning and she would LOVE to do this. She is thinking about an all-day session at my farm. Bring your horse. We would have room for up to 10 participants. Format would include hands on work with your horse, with Hannah that includes teaching you how to help your horse as well as working on your horse to identify potential problem areas. It would also include chiropractic adjustment if needed. In the afternoon there would be an under saddle portion, focusing on suppling and stretching exercises for both horse and rider.
We are thinking $200/horse if we get > 5 entries, with a significant portion of the proceeds to go to SAFE. Look for a flyer about this exciting fundraiser soon!
And Garbo - THANK YOU for thinking of this great idea!
