Kathy, perhaps you were the katnamo I replied to who'd asked if her injury was a bow? Anyway, this is what I'd replied, back in April:

Yep that was my g/f you spoke to. Hmmmmm I'll have to think about her. I'm a little gunshy taking chances on horses right now as we adopted 2 horses recently and one came down sick shortly after we got her. When she got well...........well it was a totally different horse than the sweet docile little horse we fell in love with. My OTTB is sporting a couple of bloody (healing) marks from this other little rip snort and she tried to kick and or bite at least 3 people on the place including me before the folks we lease from kindly requested we "might need" to find her another location. We ended up sending her back to the rescue where she's going into training/rehab and will be rehomed so I'm one horse short again.

She is EXTREMELY level headed and I think with some long slow exposure she would do well on trails. She handled my resident elk herd in the field next to her and occasionally coming through her pasture well and does okay with the cars driving along the driveway next to her....although if she is in the mood she will use anything for an excuse to play and she is stunning when she gallops and plays! She is not herd bound and absolutley LOVES water to the point of the ridiculous! When I fill her water trough she "presents" herself to be hosed down so I spray the water stream up into the air and she turns herself in the spray so that every side of her gets wet - this girl has personality plus! I think she will really bond with her person and be a pocket pony for someone. In my opinion, she is extremely athletic so someone with a good seat and hands and a healthy sense of humor would be the best match for her! I should add that she has exquisite ground manners and waits for me to put her food down before approaching and puts her head down(she is tall) for me to halter her. She leads kindly and is very kind and gentle with the 25+ yo gelding she is in with during the day even when he gets grumpy with her. She really is a very nice, lovely mare.

Bella is now safely ensconced at her foster home in Oregon, she hauled just fine and unloaded like the pro she is. (Or perhaps it was her foster's handling ;D) (Thanks WLF for your hospitality!)

And a BIG thank you to Robyn for hauling, and now fostering Her Sweetness (aka Bella). A couple shots, right after she unloaded... She's so easy! "Why is that other horse making such a racket?"

Robyn reports that she and Robyn's mare are acting like best buddies - they lie down together, trot around together, and the squealing seems to have resolved. Bella is eating and drinking just fine. When Bella and Giffy first met on Saturday, Bella was in the (huge!) stall, and Giffy was in the paddock - they met over the dutch door. Much squealing ensued - Bella did the funniest little crow hops! She didn't really kick out, and never tried to bite - she's a sweet sweet mare.

Hahahaha that looks like my lazy horses! They will do the same thing, lie in their hay and nibble on it.
VERY cute.
