Thanks to help from Second Chance Ranch, SAFE has made some contacts with a few wonderful trainers down at Emerald Downs who are willing to work with us to rehome some of their horses that, for various reasons, need to quit racing. In the space of about 24 hours of our first visit to Emerald Downs, we were offered two horses and had placed them. "Oscar123" in Oregon is the lucky adopter of these first two wonderful geldings! Here is "Bloomer", aka Desert Bloomer, a 10 year old gelding with a chip in his knee, who is suitable for light riding (no jumping). Is he gorgeous, or what?

Congratulations, I love this horse, always followed him when he was racing. I am so happy that SAFE has hooked up with Sharon. I have so much respect for her. If you want win pictures you can get them from the track photographer for $18 (I think). You can call the main line at 253-288-7000 and asked to be transferred to them. Thanks for giving Bloomer a second career.

Thanks to you all for allowing me to find and adopt him. He is about to start a new career - our goal is to be able to hit the schooling shows - late spring - is hunter english pleasure, and we will also begin dressage.
He is an amazing horse. Kind, always a gentleman, does everything I ask of him, willingly - to the best of his ability. In all the years I have ridden and shown, he is really the exception.
I will keep you all posted as to our progress, and our WINS!!!!!!
