I am so glad to see that Azalea is happy. I have been watching her for a long time. I love that red mane she has in that last picture.

I love her mane! It is like a firey orange or something, very unique!

Ms. Azalea was very funny with the fireworks. She really wanted to flip out, but the pony and arab she is with just really don't care about them at all and don't react. She would go - ooh, I'm scared what am I suppose to do - look at the other two and go - okay, I'm not scared, they are okay...I'll just stand. Over and over again, that was her night. I must say I was very impressed with her for being so level headed over the whole thing!

Azalea had another new experience yesterday and she was superb! She had her first chiro appt! Her back has a spot where it is noticably out of whack and I wanted that to be looked at before I worked her much (okay, bad excuse but it's the one I am using ). We had to do her adjustments on my driveway which is right next to the road and we had lots of traffic. The joy of being the detour when the main road is under contstruction! She did everthing perfectly, never shying, staying on the loose lead, not reacting to her boyfriend franctically calling for her, she was just stupendous! ;D

She looks great under saddle! Well, she's just beautiful no matter what she's doing.

Fantastic! She looks wonderful, perfect weight, shiny shiny and I'll bet that's her first time with a Western saddle and she's being good with that.
Very cool. This mare has a lot of potential!

She's also the sweetest thing! I got to stand with her for a while this weekend and she's the kind of sweetie you just want to love on and play with.

I have so many wonderful photos of Azalea and all of the horses, mostly thanks to Julianne (who took almost 1900 photos herself!). There are so many it is going to take me forever to post them, but Azalea indeed looks and WAS wonderful, so wonderful that Peri got to her her first ride on her and she did just fabulous! The best part was watching Azalea go from a nervous OTTB with a continually flapping lip (her nervous habit) to the second day when she stood tied in the arena for hours perfectly calm and when she was ridden, no more flapping lips just calm and willing.

How much does a chiropractic appt cost? Around $100 - $125. Well worth it, too!

I know I should be happy with her relaxing, but she is just so darn cute when she flaps her lips! At the beginning of the first day, she was so loud Bonnie could hear her from almost 20 feet away - silly girl. Now it's time to get to work with her!

Well, now that my broken toe is feeling better (Jaime - you know the one I told you wasn't a big deal! ;D) I decided it was time to continue my ground driving work with Ms. Azalea. Now, this is a learning experience for both of us, but let me tell you Azalea is much more talented than I originally thought! Azalea performs a perfect passage and a piaffe at both the trot and canter. She also is ready to join the Lipazzaner performances as she regularly performed the Levade, and sometimes even elevated it to the Mezair! I thought she was about to perform the Capriole but apparently she is saving that for our next lesson! Oh yes, did I mention all I was trying to do was a controlled walk! Of course, no photos...both of my hands were very busy!

ROTFL.
It was something in the air today. Read Sunline's thread.
