My vet told me last month about a wonderful family who has a wonderful horse-crazy little girl, whose birthday was coming. Instead of presents for her birthday, she asked her friends to donate money so she could donate it to an equine rescue! I met them, and their mom and dad, on Saturday, up at Peggy's, who graciously allowed us all to meet at her place, and let the girls see two horses (Lark and Ish) who had been rescued and adopted. ( THANK YOU, Peggy!) I would like to introduce [glow=red,2,300]Morgan[/glow], whose birthday it was, and her big sister Taylor, who is also horse-crazy. Here is Morgan and Lark: Here is Taylor and Lark: Here is Morgan and Ishmael (forgive the ghost image - Ish moved too fast for my camera skills! But he LOVED the girls... ;D) Morgan received $190.00 for her birthday, and she gave ALL of it to SAFE! [glow=red,2,300]Thank you, Morgan.[/glow] Morgan, Taylor, Mom and Dad - you guys are an inspiration to me, such selflessness and kindness...you've got two super-great kids! I hope you guys can make it to the show, but I understand the pull of Misty...

Awwwww! How sweet!
You know, some horsey has some leftover toys from a certain event...I think Chance would love to send some little girls a surprise!

Morgan and Taylor - what a wonderful and giving heart you both have. Mom and Dad - you have obviously raised them well, so a pat on the back to you too.

It is so great to see such selfless acts from anybody... but for the young to donate their beloved birthday gifts to the horses is truly something else!

huge thanks and crowhoppin' to Morgan!! And happy birthday Darlin'!!! this story has definitely brightened up my day. ;D
You know, there was a time not so long ago that Ishamel was afraid to approach anyone. He had a hard life before we all met him. And he has come so far with love and caring attention! So you and Taylor should feel extra good about being able to feed him carrots, because it means he trusts you, and that is a wonderful thing.
