I am having a fundraiser banquet/auction for SAFE and some fostered OTTB's. I will need auction items (art, jewelry, jackets, wine glasses, tack, supplements, gift certificates, photography packages........be creative and fun!) I would like horse items and general purpose items so that we can have a broad range of people attend.Items will be auctioned to highest bidder after dinner.
If you would like to donate an item or service.......please pm me. Items must be new.
I also need business sponsors for dinner tables. Each dinner table can be sponsored for 100 dollars. Ten tables are available. Sponsor names will be prominently displayed on table, with business cards and brochures. Sponsors can also "host" a wine basket for 25 dollars. This puts their business card on a wine basket package which will then be sold at the banquet. A karaoke contest (at the end of the evening) can be sponsored by one or split between two vendors for 350 dollars.
More information to come.........This will be held in late October in Port Orchard. It is by invitation. All invitations will list sponsors and contain a list of auction items.
I aleady have a few auction items.......such as : Scuba Diving Lesson package tool bag filled with hand tools veterinary tooth float Alaskan Fishing Trip
I have two three.........tables currently sponsored too.
I expect to have more items today...(just started yesterday!)
It is expected to have this banquet on October 28th, so it may also be a Halloween costume theme. Should be fun!

I've been thinking about this all day and am SOOOO excited. When you get time ha, ha, maybe you could put together some sort of flier both for donations and attendence. I bet we could all pitch in and take them to local businesses. What fun.

How about an oil painting to donate for the auction? I'm not great, but I am good. I currently have a cougar painting just sitting in my office. I don't have a horse painting done, but depending on when you have this I may be able to get one done. The cougar painting is unframed, I'm not sure if you'd want it framed or not... Anyway here's a pic of it.

Do you consider an original oil painting new? If you don't think you could use it, that's fine. If you do think you could use it, just let me know how to get it to you. And when you'd need it by etc. I think it's a great idea! I'll be letting everyone I know about it. Can you email me a flyer etc. so I can pass them on? Thanks.

Rachelle - your painting reminded me of my brother-in-law. He was out riding bikes with hubby a few years ago just a couple of miles past our place. He took a new trail while the others waited to find out if it was a go. He got to the end and a cougar walked out within touching distance! Nothing he did would scare it away and when he finally hopped on and rode like a bat on wheels, the thing paced next to him! He just got so focused on riding as fast as he could that he never knew when it finally left him. Let me tell you, the looks of panic on all three grown men's faces when they got back to our place was priceless! Maybe he needs to get the painting at the auction.

Rachelle, I would love to have your painting. I am sorry if I seemed like I was blowing you off.....I wasn't. Where are you located? I can probably have someone pick it up or find somewhere for you to drop it off for me.
you have a lot of talent.
Thanks, Rosemary

Oh no, I didn't think you were blowing me off at all. I was just unsure if it was something that could be used in your auction and wanted to make sure it was. I live in Woodinville, right off of Hwy 522/ Hwy 9 area. Thanks for the compliments everyone. I'm self taught. I spent most of high school drawing instead of homework. I usually give my paintings away. My Mom has some of her dogs and my sister asked for one of her dog for Christmas. I'm going to go take pics of the dog this weekend. I've sold a few too, the last was donated to a friends retirement, everyone chipped in to get it framed and they gave me the extra. She loved it. I'm not sure what the value would be. The highest priced one I've sold was for $575 unframed. The least expensive one was for $50. I figured it's just sitting and this way it could be used for some good.

Rachelle - You might want to get in contact with Vineyard Salon in Woodinville - They always (and I mean always) have art posted all around the shop from local artists that is for sale. Ann, their massage therapist, does all of the coordinating as they do one artist at a time. Vineyard Salon has also been very generous with all of my charity work for the animals with Pasado's. Their number is (425) 485-4003 or web is vineyardsalon.com/ (and Michael Massey the owner does great hair - been going to him for 11 years!)

Her pieces remind me of some of the non-cheesy pieces in the ol' Chamisa Ridge catalog that I coveted! Very nice! Yes, a HUGE thanks for her support.
Can people donate services/commissions?
