I feel so bad the Bo did not get to have a little extra time. But I am grateful you realized he would not have a good qualilty of life and gave him a respectful ending. Thanks for doing the right and most difficult thing.

BO, you sweet old guy, you were loved by many your last couple of days. rest in a painfree place, run free in grassy pastures.
Thank you SAFE, and Jaime for EVERYTHING you all do.

I am glad I met him and I am glad that he was surrounded by sunshine, grass and loving voices as he journeyed to the other side. He went peacefully and quietly with a mouthful of grass. I feel honored to be one of the voices he heard as his sweet heart stopped.

Oh Jaime - thank you so much for giving this gentleman such a great home at his end. I wish I could have been with you.

Although Bo is no longer with us, he was one of the lucky ones; he was saved! What you gave him in his last few days was what he was most deserving of: LOVE. What everyone does here for the horses requires so much inner strength its remarkable. Good work ladies! RIP Bo

Very well put Garbo...he was saved and by loving hearts & hands and he knew he had worth - for whatever time - he knew he had worth. I'm so terribly, terribly sorry - my heart breaks for you. We've had alot of ' see you on the other side' .....it still is the right thing to do...the hardest damn thing to do, but the right one...xoxoxoxoxox

That's like Raquita's last morning...all she did was eat, eat, eat the long grass in front of my house for 4 hours nonstop. Nobody likes to lose them, but when you compare that to the fate so many horses face...they were truly fortunate. I'm so happy Bo was rescued, even though he did not get as much of a retirement as we all hoped.

I doubt any horse at that auction had as much love as he did in the days following his purchase. I would hazard a guess that those were the best days he had in a very long time. This outcome, while sad, is one of the many reasons that I am so comfortable throwing my support behind SAFE. Thank you for being there for him from the auction to his last love filled moments on earth. He has his well earned wings now. Godspeed and Bonne Chance.

When I was at Monica's - Natural Horse Savvy - yesterday, she showed me the flyer for her trail clinic. The front of the flyer had a picture of sweet Bo and the clinic, which was held just after he passed, was done in his memory. Thank you Monica.
