I thought I'd share a picture that makes everyone smile when they see it! No, I did not pose them. They actually lay like that all on their own. You tell the dogs to go lay down and this is what happens, every time. Apparently wolf dogs are more comfortable for Yorkies to lay on than the floor!

As always your pictures are fantastic. Your daughter is adorable in her soup pot. She looks like she would of rather stayed dusty though.

The kid had to go to school........he is very adorable but somewhat confused as to where he fit in on the food chain so I had to send him to Allison Allbaugh for boot camp LOL These were taken before his surgery so he is even bigger........sigh........anyone know how to make him quit GROWING? He came in to me in November 15.1hh and 700lbs now he is 16hh+ and 1200lbs.......eeeeeek! November March A little too much fun LOL A pic from a couple of weeks ago Because of the crazy growth I am not going to start him under saddle until next year, we may do some some Sporthorse in hand stuff at arab shows this fall- not expecting to win anything as his comformation is {ahem} "creative?" LOL but it will be good exposure for him. He is a lovely mover if he is ever not rump high so we will see if he is a Hunter or could maybe do some lower level dressage.

I think he's lovely Chelsea....how old is he now? Don't write off his conformation yet - he's obviously still got some growing to do and I think he looks pretty nice so far! What's his breeding again?

Thanks Jaime! ;D That means alot considering you have a good eye for these things! I will post a front shot of his legs soon and you will see what I mean about his conformation.......lovely right up until you look below the knee......oh well- my vet and farrier both have pointed out there are a whole lot of crooked horses competing sound at high levels of competition crookeder than him. As for his breeding he is Dutch and trakehner(sp?) on his sire's side and Polish and egyptian arab on his dam's......kind of a mish mash but his grandsires are Avenir, a really cool gelderlander One Stone Farm stood here, and Gdansk, a very athletic Polish sire that stood in Oregon ages ago. His registered name is now Dutch Courrage and he is on All breed Pedigree...... There is a cool video of Avenir at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5_oSIUjmg4 he was in the 1984 Olympics. As far as his conformation goes he is really offset at the knee. He is very sound but when I see those front legs I have to laugh. It is definitely why I want to wait until he is 4 to start him. He just turned 3 this march. modified to add the stuff I left off while trying to do 10 things at once last night

Chelsea, did you ever see Avenir in person? He was hugh... I at one time was thinking of breeding my TB mare to him for a sport horse. His head was very roman nosed and he was over 17hh. He died a few years back but they still have his son's as breeding stock.

Yeah.......he is pretty cute. I do have to crack up that we keep "aging" him faster than the calendar reflects.......I know there are dog years but are there horse years???LOL
Realistically we do not know how old he is. He has very few teeth and the ones he has are very thin, even the molars are like polished flat disks so I guess he could be anywhere in his 30's......they guessed he was early 30's when I got him in '95 so he is pretty darn old but I can't actually say he is 40.
I want to bring him to the SAFE show again this year but we will play it by ear. He did great last year but this is a lot longer trailer ride for him and I think that is the scariest part for him. We will play it by ear. We need a faster runner than Cathy to play the "Bribe your horse" as I think he could win if he had a faster human- he is VERY food motivated!

You got him in '95? Don't you mean 2005? I don't think CBER was around in 1995.
