This is awesome. She recognized her groom (in the jeans & ballcap) and acknowledged him. To me, she is so much more at ease when he's got the rope. And he's so proud of her.

This mare has not been allowed to run free since she was a baby. To prove what a big deal this day was for Zenyatta, her owners, trainer, groom, and hotwalker all flew to Kentucky from Southern California to be there.

I read that today they have turned her out with another mare.
