"Spring is in the air! The grass is green, the gold finches are back, the humming birds are buzzing about and the vet is here.... WHAT! The VET! Eeeeeeeek!!!! Vaccinations! Bye bye......." "What? He's still here? I thought he left.... Oh that was me. OK, see ya!" The vet reports Emma is in excellent health during his visit yesterday. "The shots were a little scary but how will people understand you are a princess if you dont make a little fuss now and then" says Emma. Of course 30 seconds after the shots were done Emma was over being sweet and nuzzly with the vet. Then a minute later..."OK, back to our previously scheduled grass eating." Today is pedicure day for the girls!

Does anyone have any more info on either Sultans Sundazzled or Dazzling Treasure? I use to work at the farm in Alabama where Sultans Sun Spots stood. He was an amazing animal.

Hi ssfarm, I was told that sadly, Dazzling Treasure died in August of 2007 after she was tied to a trailer and then flipped over and landed on her head and suffered brain damage. Apparantly, a vet was never called and she died after several days. All I ever heard on Sultan's Sundazzled was that she may have been given to the owner of one of the other properties that Jean Elledge rented and was believed to be still on that property (somewhere in Machias area I believe). She was definitely not one of the horses that died on the property (that was found at least) or one of the ones that was seized so hopefully she is still alive somewhere.

Here's the June update for Emma. She continues to do very well... at being a princess. She's still so young I havent really pushed the training too much. Just little bits. It is fun just to let her be innocent and play games. She still likes to "play-nip" at one of the other horses and then run off to see if she can get somebody to chase her. Of course we have to have the basics in discipline as Emma is becoming a big girl. I'm not expert but using the tape she comes in at 950lbs and just a scoosh under 16hh. I checked 3 times. ;D So she is sprouting up like a weed with all this grass growing this time of year. Body score wise she looks great if just a hair toward thin. Still growing up instead of out. Still just as pretty. Here are some pictures.

I am so glad you continue to post updates on this pretty girl. You can definitely see some of willow in there, can't you? She still looks like such a baby! I've always thought that too. Quite the family resemblance in this herd of ponies.
