Year End Tax Deductions & Donations

Bonnie and I were talking last weekend about how there's just a small window of time left to get donations (monetary & goods) before the end of the year to be able to give out receipts for 2009 tax deductions. She brought up a great point: that we don't use our non-profit status to it's fullest to encourage donations & that the end of the year would be a great time to hit up the local tack & feed stores to take year end clearance items off their hands.

They can mark it down to almost nothing....OR...they can donate it at retail value to SAFE ;D

I posted an ad on Craigs List and am offering to receive as many contacts as I can over the next few days in order to end 2009 with a big impact.

Feed, Medical supplies & grooming aids can be used directly in the care and rehabilitation of the SAFE horses....New and Used Tack (in like-new condition) can be used as prizes in our many (many many many needed!!!) Fund raising events....

So....I challenge all of you to go to your contacts and see what you might be able to do or steer them to the CL post and have them contact me....me and my small army of equine do-good-ers would LOVE to see what last minute magic we can conjure up!!!
