With the exception of the comments from Jaime, what a bunch of idiotic infuriating drivel so far. Show me someone who has no compassion for animals and I'll show you someone who doesn't have all that much compassion for people (including children) either.

Thank God for the Cairns who found them and rescued them. Isn't the SAFE Assisted Adoption program designed to help in situations like this?

I guess what kind of bothered me about the article was that they said that the owners could have turned to rescue groups to take the horses. I don't know of a single rescue group that would have taken them. They are ALL full. Maybe the owners did contact rescue groups. I am not defending them, I am just saying that we've got a huge problem and no solution. I wish they would have euth'd them but they didn't.
I know that people have been working tirelessly to find a home for the TB filly that Malina has at her house. There's just no homes out there.
