We would again like to have prize drawings at the SAFE show. It is a fun way to make money for SAFE. And at only $1 per ticket, you have a chance to win some super prizes. I am going to coordinate the prizes again. I know the economy is not the greatest but hopefully we can still get some great prizes donated for our cause. I already bought a couple of things at the Horse Fair earlier this year to donate. If anyone has something to donate toward the prize drawings, please post it under this thread. I am getting excited about the show and I do not even bring a horse. LOL ;D Jets husband Les was great to work with last year. I am keeping my fingers crossed he will be able to help out again this year. I will try to keep a running tab of the donations on this first post also. DONATION LIST=3 Waterproof, breathable blankets (bsnlark) Quilt (lynnm) Wooden Rocking horse (lynnm) Grooming box full of lots of goodies (Whitewolf) Noahs Ark Teapot, Cookie Jar, Salt & Pepper and Spoonrest (Honeydofarm) 3 Blown glass decanters with reeds and fragrance (Crickert) Farnam Tote (Farnam) Tub filled with Equine Essentials (Lynnm) Two purple buckets filled with goodies (Coconut) Comforter (Coconut) Vet consultation and rehab package (Dr. Ahmad Jakish) Spa Basket (Whitewolf)

I have 3 brand new ( 2 still in package ) blue Amigo lite turnouts 1200 D, waterproof-breathable, poly outer, nylon inner . Size 78. These are made in Ireland, I'd never tried the brand before. Horseware, Ireland All my geriatric children wear 78. Apparently, not this brand On Larkspur, a 76 might be ok. This one is huuuuuuuuge . I might also have a new Stateline lite weight dk blue, waterproof turnout, size 76. Now ,this one is even toooo small for Morph.. and a few other items as time passes.... Id rather donate than ship back........ ;D

I will have a quilt (like the one I did for the art show) and hopefully one (if not two) of the wooden rocking horses (like I had last year).
I will see what else I can come up with.

Pssst.... I don't have anything (right now) But, this month the Del's in Enumclaw did their first ever Swap Meet and there were some AWESOME stuff there for really cheap. I know it's kinda pricy but wouldn't it be nice to have a saddle set (saddle, breast collar, headstall and reins) for like the ultimate prize? There were a couple up there for like $150-300 one being a show set for $400! The thing had to be worth a couple grand! There was a lot of other stuff too but a raffle for a big ticket item for $1 per ticket will sure bring a lot of people in.
On second thought, that may not be worth it. I'm still not awake yet. Anyway. The next swap meet is scheduled for 4th of july weekend. People should stop in and say hi (i'll be there) and see what they can pick up.

That would be a great prize. Everything does not have to be horse related afterall. We had several non-horsey items in the prize drawing last year.
I will add them to the prize list.

Just a suggestion, but perhaps we could run the quilt as a separate drawing like I believe it was saddles last year? I'll buy all the raffle tickets for that one ;D

I have 3 blown glass decanters with Home Fragrance (Pumelo & Kumquat) and reeds from Anthousa to donate (the company I work for owns Anthousa so these are actually courtesy of I.P. Callison & Sons). Here's what they are: www.anthousa.com/

I got an email from Farnam today. They are going to donate a tote (value $65) to the show. Yahoo. We can use it as a prize drawing, or a class award.

I have also put together a large tub of equine needs - everything from halter/lead to lunge whip, clippers and grooming supplies. Got everything at half price so I figure it's worth over $200.
