I am impressed with how well and fast he seems to be progressing. Great job, and hats off to you for taking him on. He seems to do well for the "little time" you have to work with him. He will be a star at the show.

Wow Juliane! You have done such a great job with him! I love how unflappable he is, the most he does is turn his head around and look at your foot as if to say "how did that get there??". He's so cute! I can't thank you enough for doing this for SAFE!!

Now that Benny has been started under saddle, his adoption fee is currently $750, subject to change with further training.

I also wanted to comment that surprisingly Juliane does not look too big for him, so he fills out an adult leg well despite his small stature.

Juliane promises new pictures by Sunday, but here is an update she sent me via email: He is doing really, really well! I have had 4 different people ride him so far. I wouldn't hesitate to say that he would be fine for beginners after a few more miles. He's totally laid back and easy going about everything. There is no fear, buck or bolt. He's happy to go along with whatever you suggest.
He has been fine to haul - he walks right in the trailer without hesitation now. When I got to the Monroe Meadows equestrian center, I just tacked him up (first time english!) and rode him in the arena, after walking by his side, steering with the bit for the first time. He was fine. Didn't like the bit at first, but didn't fight it too much. He's already extremely soft in the mouth and learning to be supple. I can't believe how fast he learns!
I had my farrier come out and put shoes on him last night so now we can go on the trails. My boyfriend and I were talking about going to the beach on Sunday, but I am not sure we will have time now So we will likely just go up in the hills instead.
I pulled his mane the other day too, so it's cute and short in a typical Quarter Horse style. I think he looks very handsome! I'll clip him this weekend.
I haven't been able to work him into the canter yet, though it's through no fault of his own. I just haven't had access to an arena like I had hoped I would.
I am not sure where my measuring stick is and I don't have a tape, but I would guesstimate that he is closer to 14.2hh. He definitely doesn't feel very short when you are on him.Juliane's boyfriend has also taken a liking to Mr. Benny I hear....

He sounds like a dream, and imagine having a boyfriend that likes horses! Makes me proud to hear how well he is doing.

I too have met Benny. He is an AWESOME little horse, and if he wasn't too small for me, I would glady have snatched him up in a heartbeat! At the clinic in Enumclaw, he was amazing! I really hope he finds a good home, and it sounds like he would be good for you Lyn :]

Benny was 100% calm and collected. He has a wonderful mind and Juliane has done a great job with him. I can't imagine any adopter not being thrilled with him. I can see him already being fine for a youth rider who has a trainer - he's just that unflappable personality type.

Benny did AMAZING yesterday! I was thrilled at how great he did! He was a real good boy :] So calm and just wonderful to watch. With just that short time under saddle, and hes already getting ribbons! Anybody would be lucky to have a great little horse like him!

I'm changing the CL ad for the adoption event to one of your beach photos...and here I thought the Show photo was cool. This shows just how amazing he is! Thanks for posting that...hope you don't mind if I use it for promotion on the adoption event.
THANK YOU for giving Benny these experiences and the opportunity to find a really great home!
