Hi All, Just wanted to update everyone that remembers Marisol with some riding pictures from this past weekend. Marisol came from the Feedlot in Yakima in 2005 which puts her right around 4 years old. She just finished 120 days of training at the end of Aug with a local trainer and has now begun hitting the trails of Central Oregon. Here she is at the feedlot. And here she is this past weekend out on a couple rides with my good friend Debbie. This last one is of Marisol w/Debbie, and Blue w/me

She looks great! I'm pretty sure I hauled her to your place from the feedlot when I picked up Fancy Nancy Jean! Always wondered how she turned out!

That's awesome. It's so nice to see CBER horses that wound up in great homes. And kudos to you for putting in the money to get her trained - that is what all of these rescue horses need, and not enough get!

By the way, PM me and let me know your trainer's info. I am always being asked for recommendations to GOOD trainers who actually do what they are paid to do and I never have enough names to give them.

Yes kdunham I believe you did bring her to my house from the lot.
As far as trainers I definitely found an honest one who did what he said. I have had one bad experience before, but I have no one to blame but myself. Live and learn. I was fortunate enough to be able to put both of my young ones into training before the summer and have been very pleased with the results. I will certainly send you his information!
I am actually just about to put my other CBER horse back into training with this same guy. She had previously been trained up in WA but that was the "bad experience" so I am going to try again hopefully with better results.
Marisol was quite the brat, again my fault, before she went into training but now she is a totally different horse. I honestly didn't think it would have been possible. I am glad I was wrong..
Thanks for all the positive comments!
Nikki
